I didn't mean to imply that ALL JWs are hearless bastards. I know many that visit the elderly but it's NOT a priority for the organization. And it's certainly not a priority to those pioneers that have to get in their time.

i thought, "at last, we are all being encouraged to visit our poor brothers & sisters in nursing homes, who feel abandoned!.
nope, that's not it - it's all about targetting non-witnesses in those establishments, and get them to sign up for "bible" studies.

congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

I recall once seeing some tithing/pledge cards for some church. I was disgusted by it. And yet I didn't make much of a connection when they later passed a KH hall fund and ASS hall fund slips around. The brainwashing runs deep when you're in it.

EX JW Podcast
by snare&racket ini am setting up a podcast (radio show) where we will cover the issues of jw's, amongst the topics of science, belief and more.. i am letting you guys know because i would like to interact with the forum as we do them, looking for suggestions for topics, looking for guest ideas and also we can mask voies and change names, so interviewing current jw's to help provide people a voice, an outlet for their frustration whilst providing a safety net.
there is no hierarchy, but current elders, bethelites etc that contribute here already will be more than welcome and protected!.
the podcast will be pro science, i will have both atheist and theist co-presenters in the episodes but i can't deny my bias towards evidence and science, but hopefully it should be enjoyable and informative for us all.. i plan for it to be about 2hrs long, maybe an episode a month or every 2 or 3 weeks.

The premise of the idea behind this is: People will donate more when they are sitting inside a nice KH. They donate less when they are sitting in a shitty KH. Get everyone nice KHs and they will all donate more.
There is a 5 man international committee that consults with the GB to tell the Treasury wtf to do they've gotten blowback from the treasury, but the GB is backing the 5 man committee all the way Each branch office has an "accounting dept", the headquarters is called "the treasury"
