  a non jw relative who is a staunch critic of the wt attends the memorial with us every year, but just because she enjoys worshiping with her relatives.

  she fought against my parents becoming witnesses before i was born.

  she owns the book 30 years a wt slave and suggested i read it.

  CANDACE CONTI & THE NEW CONTRIBUTION DEMAND

  when the org lost the candace conti case, the court ordered (pending the appeal) that the org would have to deposit several million$ as security.

  the puzzling thing is, the org got a bond company to put up the millions, thereby incurring heavy interest charges.

  i've always wondered, 'why?????????'.

  Memorial Attendance: The Single Most Impactful TTATT "Witness" to Family and Friends

  anyone who has awakened to ttatt and conscientiously left the organization--especially a once-prominent individual from a prominent multi-generational tribe of jws-- after decades of devout, high-profile "serve-us," who continues to put in an annual appearance at the memorial thoroughly subverts and undermines, by this one act, any hope s/he may entertain that his/her departure will stir family or former friends to question the whole watchtower bamboozle.

  by this one concession s/he assigns him-/herself by every single jw to their handy and dimissive purgatory: the "spiritually-weak.".

  nothing blasts a louder, clearer, and more deliberate message to the jws who personally knew you and those familiar with your jw bona fides that you are not merely "not making the meetings" or "spiritually-weak" but that there is a conscientious reason you have rejected the entire watchtower society life than choosing to forego what they know you know to be their one-and-only holy and sacred event of the year, the lord's evening meal.

  i ran across a facebook site entitled "ask a jehovah's witness anything.".

  it seems to be run by jw elders for jws and studies who are seeking information about "the truth.".

  they don't want apostates there or wt bashing.. i wonder if some people here would like to go to that site and ask questions.. of course, it would be easy to say stuff there that would get you banned.. i think the challenge would be to be respectful and see how long they will tolerate genuine questions.. i don't know how much follow-up they will allow.. of course, if you're fading, that's not a place to post.. .

  I have recently had a vacetomy and in a few weeks have to choke the chicken for a sperm test, what's the chances god will let me slip this one off and not kill me, can I be disfellowshipped for this or will they remove me as an ministerial servant - if I tell?

  Trinitiarian "proof-text" John 20:28 has some problems for "Trinitarians"

  all through my years as a jws and after i have always wondered about john 20:28 where thomas says "my lord and my god" to jesus.

  i just could not find a suitable answer for this text to disprove the trinity doctrine.

  i really never swallowed the jws intrepretation of "shock" by thomas something like "oh my god" but at the same time i had a gut feeling trinitarians were hiding something about this verse.

  Genocide, sweet genocide, does our Lord provide!

  He does not feel sorry for little babies,

  They grow up wicked and spread like rabies.

  He kills the homos and lesbians too,

  As well as the Muslim, Christian and Jew.

  So beg to Jehoovah that he spares your ass,

  Keep giving your money, time, car and gas.

  Keep yourself busy and your heart weeping,

  Shun your family and kids, let them die bleeding.

  Do all these things you might save your own skin,

  For that's all you really care about in the end.
