i have no idea what i want to convey in words here on this site, and have surprised myself by even joining at all.

i intended just to read, and get a few pieces of information, and now am a member, and spend many hours looking through posts old and new alike.

i am a current jw, born into it, and lets just say i'm in my thirties, female, and a mom of more than your average kids.

(((HUGS)))!!! Boy did that ever get my blood BOILING!!! They are such pompase A_S H_LES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you put them on the hot seat to answer your questions, they can't answer and so then they automatically proclaim you cannot possibly be sincere!

They want to ask the questions, they hate being asked the questions.

These meetings are all the same! Over and over it is the same replies. The same assinine comments. It makes me SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the fact that you recorded them!! I recoreded the elders that came to our house too. They didn't ask if I had one but I think many are recording their meetings and they are getting wise to it. What are they going to do, a strip search before a judicial meeting?

They had no intention of "adjusting" your thinking, because in order to supposedly try and help you they needed to try and understand where you were coming from. As soon as you question them to get answers, the wall goes up.

You can have questions, but you had better not question the answers!!!!!!!! What a CULT!!!!!!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so........frusterating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How Would You Prove That Abstaining From Blood Is Not Prohibiting Transfusions?

last night my grandson got a blood transfusion.

it occured to me how stupid the belief is that to "abstain from blood" refers to a transfusion.

how would you reason with someone to show that abstaining from blood would not refer to accepting a blood transfusion?.

If Acts proves that Blood is to be completely avoided, then let me ask you how it is that until just recently NO part of Blood was to be stored or used for ANY purpose...it was to be poured out. The scriptures in Acts you just commented on was used to confirm this teaching was it not?

Then...in the recent few years, the "No Blood" stand has changed. Keep in mind the Bible says God cannot lie, and he DOES NOT CHANGE.

Now, it is acceptable to accept Blood fractions, is it not??

In order to recieve a Blood fraction think about this:

1. Someone donated their Blood in order for JWs to recieve a fraction from it.

2. That donated Blood was STORED in order to be broken down into fractions.

3. You cannot synthetically create Blood Fractions. You can only get a fraction from the real thing....BLOOD.

So, I ask you, you just got through saying Blood was to be avoided according to Acts. Then according to that interpretation, how in the world do you think JWs are following the scriptures in Acts to if they now accept Blood Fractions????????

Think about it!!! How many people had to DIE because of this CHANGING JW doctorine??????? Have you ever lost anyone you loved because of a changing beief?? A MAN MADE belief??? I lost my Grandfather thanks to this belief, a Grandfather that would still be here today had he not of believed a lie!

I am soon going to be meeting with some JW family members, and am going to print this and bring it to their attention!!!!!

I think it will prove to be VERY valuable! I suspect one will use it as justification to associate with me. The other who is a "hardcore" JW will no doubt be dumbfounded!!!!

As a matter of fact I think I will send it to ALL my JW relatives that are currently shunning us!!!

Anyhow...this is why I love JWD!! All the info. that we have access to that otherwise would be very difficult if not impossible to find let alone get our hands on.

"the Truth". So many changes prove they never had it.

i often wondered about this when i first started questioning things.. .

any jw that has died in decades past, how are they even eligible for ressurection?

during the time in which they died, they were never taught "the truth", as everything changed.. any jw today, looking forward to armageddon coming tomorrow, isn't being taught "the truth" either, as will be made manifest by more doctrinal change.

99% of what they were teaching as being from "God himself", is now null and void. If you were to go preach what was preached back then as truth, you would be disfellowshipped for apostacy.

Now.....what is wrong with that picture??

Rememeber, Gods word says he "does NOT change". So if it changes, its is not from him. If not from him then who from??? The Devil???!!

Light can get brighter, but it cannot go in completely opposite direction into darkness, and be light from God.

Well first of all...(((HUGS!!!)))

I tell you, everytime I listen to one of these meetings it just gets my blood boiling! I thought you did an awesome job in defending yourself. I appreciated the example you gave about the generation changing back and forth, and how the "new" understanding to what they thought it to mean clear back in 1927.

This is what gets me...

Look how many times they flipp flopped their understanding on just this one subject. What if you still firmly believed the last understanding and couldn't wrap your head around the "new understanding" refering to the anointed as being the generation. Would you be disfellowshipped? Most definately, if you refused to conform. But why? Was this not "spiritual food given at the proper time???" Was this not truthful food from Christ Jesus, the head of the congregation?? At the time they taught it, they would have told you "YES". But since there is a change of understanding it could now be a disfellowshipping offence because it is considered "old light" and is now, really, a FALSE TEACHING. So would not this label them as false teachers. Wether by intention or not. From 1927 till now they taught a false teaching...how does this make them different from "false religion"??????

Second, they said to you that you knew the teachings when you stood up to agree with them when you became baptised. But you agreed to be baptised upon beliefs that now have been discarded by the organization. So the oath you took was an oath that not just agreed with the teachings you were taught, but to any new teachings they may come up with for the rest of your life! That includes any teachings you based your faith and hope on, that THEY may choose to be null and void in the future!!!!!!!!! Does not the Bible say that "God does NOT change"!!!????

None of us were ever told at our baptism this may be the case. When you agree to the teachings of the Watchtower and decide to become a baptised JW, you think this is based on the teachings that you learned to be true, and that you could count on them forever to be truthful teachings. (They were never truthful or they would not have discarded them). Then they go and ditch those teachings. And because you were baptised are supposed to have "blind faith", and that your oath still applies to the new teachings and you should never challenge or analys them to be truthful like you were invited to do before dedication.

They don't warn you of the outcome for you and your loved ones should you choose not to agree with any "new light". That they will take away everyone you have ever known and loved if you don't conform!!! It is a sick and extreemly dangerous CULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over and over they have flip flopped back and forth on different issues, as I am sure you are well aware. The blood, organ transplants, generation, etc......my Grandfather died because of the blood issue! Fractions that are now ok to take oculd have saved his life!! He is just one in THOUSANDS who died standing firm for a belief that has now changed!!!!!!!!!! He would most likely still be with us today had the "new light" come around in time! This is what I mean by extreemly dangerous!!

I have a brother and neices, grandmothers, an aunt and uncle and many cousins and friends who we have lost due to this cult, as most here have lost many close to them. If only people could become more educated and warned before they get sucked in.

Anyhow...I guess I am done ranting! Hang in there!!! In time you will have this all behind you and you will find peace. Thank you for sharing your experience, and know you will always have those who can relate and who appreciate what your going through, here.

What an insult to Jehovah and the Angels for the elders to suggest that Jehovah allows them to teach these teachings, (for howe many years...till they have new light. And in the case of the generation they have been misguided since ...1927???????) but for these teaching to go on for decades for the purpose of allowing ones to stumble and then for the Angels to remove them???????? What loving God would do that to his people?????????????? Not the one I know and love that is for sure!!

They place their misdirection back on Jehovah and blame him!!!!! Which DISGUSTS and INFURRIATES me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow......I am sorry you are going through this...hang in there!!! Hopefully you will still be able to see your parents.

i used to post on here about a year ago.

i was stuck inside the watchtower corporation, with everone around me still believing.

We definately can relate!! We too lost most of our family and have found love in our "wordly family". My husband was a MS as well, and we were very active, with him reaching out to be a Elder. Until one day our world turned upside down. When we realized we were being lied to by the organization, we could not in clean conscience preach to others as truth something which we knew was a lie.

When my JW Grandmother (which has shunned us for 4 years now) was trying to guilt me back was saying we need to be preaching, I explained to her why I could no longer place the literature, because of the lies we had found in them (redarding 607) she said, "Well, at least you would be doing what you were told". I told her that we could not in good conscience, that we still had to answer to Jehovah. She told me she would rather error on the side of HIS organization. I told her that was up to her but I reminded her how much Jehovah hates Liars.

It was shortly after that that she cut us off.

I hope you stick around here as there are many who have walked in your shoes and who can relate. In time, you will find more and more peace.

hi, i finally created an account, although i have been lurking (here and on jwd) for about 2 years.

i just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

i wasn't able to fade as gracefully as some here have been able to do, so i lost all of my jw friends and family.

Just remember the two things Jesus said you must have to be acceptable to him: 1. Love, 2. Faith.

It's simple. Over and over Jesus mention only those two things. It is the Watchtower that has made it so complicated by adding to it. Reminds me of the Scribes and Pharasis. They added so many more laws and regulations to the people that they were weighed down and downtrodden. Jesus came with a message of hope and relief. Faith and Love. Love Jehovah your God, and have Faith in Christs Ramsom.

Faith and love encompasses all other things....

Remember to keep praying for direction and Holy Spirit. He will give to all those asking.
