  i toured wallkill in the last month; the tour guide stated, in very clear terms, that the wt leadership is "sending home" many older couples and older ones, and replacing them with younger ones as they need to.

  he did say it was because their experience was of more use in the field.

  Need Help Finding Recent Post on Sam Herd Special Day Talk

  there was a post here a few weeks ago about a talk that gb member sam herd gave recently at a ca special assembly day.

  the notes on the talk were taken from a tape of the program, and it was very interesting.

  i'm trying to find the post but so far have been unsuccessful.. does anyone remember the post, and can you help me find it.

  my brother decides he want to stop al the local kingdum hell and ask for the new craptower mag, he goes in and asks for the new craptower about a dozen x"s i'm standing at the door and he keeps asking for the new craptower " to worship the god jehoover.

  and pray to the foolish and wayward slave.

  he comes to the door and invites me in and about 10 wt zombies women are in the lobby.

  I think it will take different approaches to reach different people. Johnny's approach will work with some people, others may take a another route. When you look at the apostles and the various methods they used, it reached the hearts of many listeners.
  
  I think the important thing is to remain civil. It's kind of hard to say we are doing the lords work if we are using foul language and screaming our heads off (we sort of fit the caricature that they paint of opposers).
  
  Look at the method that Ray Franz took in his book, he attacked only the thinking and sophistry of the organization. He also revealed the attitudes and character of the Governing body with out resorting to name calling. It was absolutely a powerful expose' of the society.

  Also when you look at Jesus, he called the Pharisees vipers, not motherf**kers.
  So little comparisons are appropriate. ;-)

  Might go visit the New York crew

  i have a five day weekend coming up between june 30th and july 4th.. i'm thinking about heading up to see new york city, so would some of you new yorkers like to have a mini-fest and show me the sights?.

  i'll need someone to refer me to a hotel that is in a good location for seeing the sights, but will not cost much more than about $100 a night.

  either that or someone could put me up in a spare room.. let me know your thoughts!!

  Hey, just got back from dinner, elsewhere, stevenyc and myself were there.... guess others couldn't make it last minute. Anyway, we had a blast and decide to start our own film production studio call Cano-Cam. Anybody want to submit short clips? We expect a large number of submissions from bethel.

  Fat and metabolism

  did anyone see that 20/20 episode last week about medical misconceptions?

  one of them was that there are some people with higher metabolisms than others, thats why there are some super skinny people and fat people.

  Excercise and healthy foods and portion sizes are the best you can do. This doesn't mean you'll end up the size you were when you were your thinnest though

  This really is the bottom line. Dieting in itself may work short term but most people put the weight right back on after a while (plus, there are some unhealthy diets out there). It also doesn't change your body shape to a more toned and athletic look. Most people find a combination of healthy eating with controlled portions combined with exercise is what works best. This has to become a way of life if the weight loss is to last. My experience with my routine worked well for me, packed on the muscle in conjunction with cardio exercises 3 times a week and cheating on my diet only once a week helped me to raise my metabolism rate, elevate my mood and transform the shape of my body. I was surprised at the results.

  The only thing that I found to be difficult was staying on my exercise routine. Family and work obligations have a way of interfering with a careful planned schedule. I know of some people who also tried the Body for Life program but quit after a month or two because it was kind of intense. I quit after 4 months and gained a little bit of the weight back (5 lbs) but I started again this year and hope to stick with it for most of the year (perhaps take a few weeks off every couple of months). One thing that really helped me and has become a way of life was cutting out the soda and sweets... so many empty calories. I now use only equal or splenda w/ 2% milk in my coffee. (I know there is a very slight risk but I think it is a good risk)
