Welcome, went through much of what you described earlier this year, the doubts were building up for a long time and I finally had to investigate honestly. My last meeting was in March, and I am free now. I'm finishing off my first semsester in college (went back after 19 years) and I am having a blast. Take the time to do a full investigation and you will be amazed at what you will find. Look forward to hearing more. thecarpenter

I thought I was alone
by elinor ini just could not believe it when i stumbled across this forum recently.
i was actually doing research for my dad who wanted to see the world's viewpoint of the failed 1975 prophecy.
he came into the truth less than three years ago and though my mom has been a witness since she was a teenager she never spoke of that particular time period to him.

by Seeker4 inive got some interesting quotes about global climate change, evolution and the bible from a well-known scientist i interviewed last week.
thought some here would enjoy these, as these are issues we often debate on jwd.
im doing an article for a magazine about scientist tom wessels and his new book, the myth of progress.

What emotions were you feeling as you started reading the posts on JWD?

i was an elder and had just left bethel.

Interesting thread, I had finally read crisis of conscious and that done it for me. Ray Franz was in a position to know the facts and he provided all sorts of information and proof I needed (confirmed a lot of suspicions). I had joined the forum like two months earlier but really didn't read much because it was hearsay (I needed more proof). After reading both of Franz's books and several others, I was out. It was only then that I started reading many of the posts and further rounding out my education on Jdubs.

Sen. John McCain, AZ with Rudy Gulianni as vice president I am the first to predict it. As for John Edwards aka the breck girl, forget about it. Obama, maybe as vice president.

Local Kingdom Hall has windows
by Junction-Guy inthe local kingdom hall remodeled back in the summer, but for some reason i never noticed this until the other day as i was driving up the interstate.
this kingdom hall now has windows.
the windows appear to be about 10 inches wide by 6 feet.

Well, I'm a carpenter and adding a few simple windows doesn't add any real expense to the project, particularly when the work is financed over 20 years and done by volunteer labor. In working with regional building committees for over 10 wasted years, the reason for not adding windows has to do with a persecution paranoia than anything else. These in days, many new halls are designed with windows although kept to a minimal. I worked a lot on Halls in NYC (Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhatten, Queens, Long Island) and most do not have windows unless there is a second floor and then 2 ~ 4 windows may be installed on the second floor (tilt up kingdom halls).

Tchaikovsky - 'the nutcracker suite', when I heard this for the first time with a set of quality headphone, it actually felt like I was getting high. I'll never forget the rush I got from it. I actually got into classical music because of this piece.
