  Well, thanks to Lady Liberty, I had two full price offers in less than one day after listing. I actually showed it a few moments after listing it with L.L. That was over a year ago though, when houses were going like crazy...

  Help! Suggestions on what to say to a Niece who is Studying...

  i have been trying to prepare myself for an upcoming visit with a beloved neice who is studying.

  the situation is this: my beloved nephew, her husband (he is like a son to me) was baptized and "faded" many years ago.

  unfortunately, he has always vassilated on the subject of whether the jw's have "the (t)ruth".

  "Dangerous Apostates"

  have any of you ever been called a dangerous apostate?

  i have, and so has trev.

  my friend marion just called me, and her sister angela, who is a nominal jw, and attends occasional meetings, went last sunday because her friends' son was giving the public talk.

  i work in an environment at work that is a mix of adult ranging in age from 18-50. there are 300 plus people in the building, and that means you get a lot of soap operas happening from people sleeping with other people's girlfriends, boyfriends and even people cheating on their spouses with people they work with.

  among the bunch is a large group of people who spend a lot of time passing themselves around, and sampling many sexual partners.

  of the people who i know, i have often found that many do not seem as happy as one might think.

  I am not sure, but I know my cousin is a very depressed/anxiety ridden but somewhat promiscious girl. She cannot be with out a man. She only feels complete with a man, so she will go with just about anyone, just to not be alone. Needless to say, she has gotten herself into some pretty sticky situations(she is pregnant now with another mans baby, not her husbands, he has no idea). I know she has ZERO self esteem.

  Got my copies of August and September Awakes today! Funny and sad story.

  i was in my truck in town and talking with my sis-in-law whom i met on a side street, and while we were discussing something, she noticed a group of 4 people, 2 women, and two girls, walking up and down the other side of the street, then they got in their car, and stayed there.

  so, when she left, i pulled right up next to them, and asked them if they happened to be j.w.'s?

  the driver gave me a huge smile, and said, "yes, we are!

  i agree that it is most likely futile to try de-convert a die-hard jw.

  I agree with the Wanderer, if it is to be done, it should be tasteful, like a documentary. Otherwise, we will just look weird. Although, I would like to go on Dr. Phil.

  Strange Habits You Realised You Have

  i recently realised i have a strange habit that's been noticed by others: i look in people's fridges when i'm over at their house.

  it's just a reflex action, and i only recently became aware of it.. what strange habits have you discovered that you didn't realise you had?.

  Apostate Kate---I know what you mean by other peoples air. I am very picky about that. I am always holding my breath around people and then getting all panicky because I have to get away from them in order to take another breath.

  I cannot drink a soda unless I rinse the top

  Shopping carts..oh geez, where do I begin. I cannot wear my shoesd past the door because of all the gross things they have touched in parking lots etc.
