  I suppose the big no no is platlets.................this si important to get the oxygen to the cells, and the white blood cells

  So if they could fracion the platelets they could then use them...............absolute madness

  It's not really possible to fractionate a platelet -- they're their own little sticky cells whose use is to form a clot. But yeah, I'm sure if it was able to fractionate them, the WTS would allow the fraction's use. Stupidness.

  There really isn't much use to transfusing WBC. In fact, most units of blood are now leukodepleted -- they filter OUT the WBC as foreign WBC can cause some reactions to the recipient (the recipient's immunity doesn't care much for foreign WBC so will attempt to destroy them).

  I really don't know how the WTS can screw with this any more. They're counting on the R&F's blind, brainwashed following and getting it. That, along with vilifying, mocking and attempting to discredit the medical community so that the R&F don't believe them when they do contradict what the WTS has told the sheep.

  This cult pisses me off.

  Not really a newbie (though sometimes sorta still feel that way) but the way that I found this site was by typing in a google: "disassociation letter" as I was working on mine and wanted some sort of template. The *right* way to write one. Links with the url of this site were mixed in with some others, I clicked a few and then spent the next few days [and nights] reading and reading here...

  Is tartarus a black hole?

  although i find it extemely difficult to beleive the bible, i was wondering one night, what in fact, tartarus might be.

  the witnesses beleive that satan and his minions, will be cast into what is described as a pit from which he cannot escape.

  obviously, a spirit creature could escape from anything in the material world, as they are able to transform themselves just as the fathers of the nephilum did before the flood.

  This word always made me laugh. It sounded like a word to describe tartar sauce gone to funk...

  As for the JW version of Tartarus, I think it's just another made up thing.

  The thought of turning him in at a time when he and his family were dealing with a serious health crisis was unthinkable and inhuman. But we all know of JW's that would have and I find that beyond obscene.

  I 100% agree with this. It's just so unthinkably wrong to bring down a person's house of cards, their very foundation, at a time when their life may be in crisis. Why crash everything else?? All in the name of "accountability" control.

  Hey Brent -- my EMT 'brothers' have replaced the creep fake bros at the KH. They are amazing.... you guys rock. :)

  Who is going to pay for your legal defense and/or any fines you will get for a HIPA violation? How do you pay attornies when your license is suspended? What facility will ever hire you with a HIPA violation on your record? What if the parties decide to sue you in civil court? What if you lose your nursing license?

  A JW health-care professional would probably not take it to court? They'd think they were doing Jah's will by turning in the 'wrongdoer' even if it meant losing their job. A big martyr, really, how wonderful a "witness" for jah .... At my hospital, a HIPPA violation is pretty much a straight-up termination. And another facility *might* hire someone with that on their record (a person from our lab did this and was hired in the same field elsewhere, so it does happen) If the parties decide to sue, I'm guessing the JW is up a creek.... and a loss of license -- RNs, does that happen? We MTs wouldn't lose our certification, but we're different. (in a good way. lol) I work with a JW CNA and always wonder what would happen if someone in the cong came in and needed a transfusion or was even given the 'just in case' armband... or anything that might smell of needing tattling on (just seeing that a preg test was DONE would raise a JW's suspicion, even if it was just for pre-surg....) Personally, I think having a JW on staff sucks... ~merfi

  DOES ANYONE STILL NOT CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS???

  just wondering if anyone still does not celebrate xmas since leaving jws.....or like me do you think"to hell with it", and join in the festivities.

  if you do celebrate it, do you still have pangs of guilt for celebrating this "pagan" festival???.

  I wasn't raised "in the truth" but came in when I was about 20. So I was raised with Christmas. What it always meant to me was family, making cookies with my mom and pretty decorations. So this year, being the first that I've celebrated in about 15 years, I'm making it about family, making cookies with my kidds and having lots of pretties to plug in and enjoy.

  I've bought some presents (ok, I went a bit overboard) and sent out cards also. I enjoy just knowing that it's going to put a smile on the recipient's face. It makes it "Christmas" for me.

  I'm not sure about god or whatever right now, but enjoy the 'spirit' of Christmas and the whole holiday season, I guess, without having to put a 'reason' for it. I just like the pretties, the family and friends, and the love. Yeah, it's 'all year giving' too, but this is extra special

  someone was talking about bloodguilt on here recently, which made me think of return visits and how i used to feel panicked about being bloodguilty if i did not get back to them.

  So you feel bad about bothering people about Watchtower stuff enough to go bothering them about anti-Watchtower stuff.

  prolly not. It's usually just a passing thought because of the guilt at bothering them with cult material in the first place. I'm pretty non-confrontational, so won't ever do it I'm sure... I just have some regrets that haven't been fixed, kwim? Peace,

  i hope you are all doing well!!.

  this is the first year we are officially celebrating christmas.

  after much research last year, we decided christmas was no more "pagan" then any normal wedding ceremony observed by any good jw!!
