To whom is the Ransom paid?

i think that even jw-lites have a grasp of the basic teaching that all humans have inherited sin from adam and eve, and hence all humans die.

jesus was a perfect human, and through his death......(from the wt website):.

"his sacrificed perfect human life became the ransom price, able to redeem mankind from sin and death.

I never understood....I think I am dense....We still die and are still waiting....so how do we benefit from the ransom?

as a jw i was in a cong where there was a deaf group.

when the interpreters moved away they asked the cong if there was anyone who wanted to learn.

i could not contain myself i wanted this.

Just finished Crisis of Conscience (first time), now I understand why...

i have just completed crisis of conscience.

now i understand why my father, the co, the wts and every other elder who came to my home asked if i had read the book.. i had not.

however, the argumentation stylesup to and including the focus in my letters on the paired issues of candor and humilityas well as the bulk of the scriptures used by brother franz and others were present in my letters.. this shows their hubris to an even greater degree.

The Trinity... is it a false teaching as the WTBTS claims?

Is Jesus doing his will or God's Will.....He said plainly he is doing God's Will.

The Trinity doesn't hold as Three in one God.

with the memorial coming up (and all of you attending of course, haha) i wanted to post a topic that's been bugging me for quite a while:

ok, we were all taught that the last supper coincided with the passover, which was required by jews to celebrate annually.

however, i've got a couple of questions on this:

IMO the whole story of the last supper is apocryphal. Apart from the points already put forward against the story there were pagan cults which had been around for hundreds of years which memorialised a saviour son of God's death by eating bread for the flesh and wine for the blood. This and many other gospel stories were probably added to make them more palatable to the largely pagan Roman world as it was slowly turned toward christianity.

I am listening.....can you relate one these stories for me please

Matthew 26 explains the Passover meal of Jesus and his Aposcles. A place was provided by someone and Jesus Aposcles prepared the table with the Passover meal.

Update on the JW aunt melodrama

not sure if she has actually sent that letter to the wts yet, but so far there has not been a response.

i wonder if they will respond at all, after all it's easy to say it got lost in the mail or something, much harder to make such excuses over the phone.

time will tell.
