Quite frankly, The creation story makes more sense to me than the evolution of Homo Sapiens. Where I think of evolution, I see deformed creatures.

The Story of Adam & Eve
by LaCatolica ini learned that the story of adam and eve was exactly that, 'a story'.
i remember learning that in my religion class in high school.
i learned that the old testament was filled with tales and that none should be taken literally because these were stories of oral tradition.

I'm curious.....If the catholic church believes Adam and Eve are a Myth? Where do humans come from in their opinion?

And Now for Something Spiritual

What are your reasons for not joining another religion?
by MARTINLEYSHON ini am going to start this debate of by saying that those of us who were raised in the so called truth, and i being one of them, can only come to terms with our past by accepting that our parents infected our minds like a virus infects a computer.
we wouldn't categorise children according to their parents' political stance, since they are too young to make up their minds about such matters.
but they (jw) segregate them from the world.

I'am with buttlight.....my knees are bad....or I would take on a Catholic Mass.
All kidding aside...the reason is...all religions depress me...I went to one church (The Piligram church) since I left the JWs and I found it hard not to walk out before the sermon is over.

For cat lovers: How to decide when to put the old sick cat down...
by nsrn ini have an almost 18 year old cat, a manx calico named spunky.
at birth, she was rejected by her mother and so my mom dropper fed this kitten until it was big enough to eat from a bowl, and then the cat moved in with us.
my daughter was about 3. she's always been my cat.

personally i'd do it while she is still getting a bit of quality of life but before something drastic unexpected happens and you end up with memories of her suffering instead of drifting off.
I agree with Nelly.
I am in the same delima with my very intelligent almost human and loving dog....But I can't bring myself to put him down...He has his good days and that is what keeps me going.

Armageddon, Inc (1940) - The last critical article there was on JWs!
by VM44 in"armageddon, inc" was an article published in the september 14, 1940 issue of the saturday evening post.. it was written by stanley high and was a critical review of the jehovah's witness religion as it was then.. this was 65 years ago, and i do not know of _any_ articles since then that have been published in a major magazine that attempt to analyze or examine the jehovah's witnesses!.
there have been many articles published over the years about jws, particularly when conventions are being held in a town.
the local papers will usually do stories about them.

The words and language in the article sound so much like Edward R. Murrow

Those in Detroit came on foot, by bus and train, in first-rate automobiles and in jalopies, the like and number of which the motor city had never seen before. Their assorted
I giggle at the language they used in the 1940's (firsrt-rate) and (jalopies) now we call them Fancy cars and driving a wreck. LOL
In a small Southern city in the state of Louisiana a town called Alexandria , LA ran the Wittnesses out of their town...The Watchtower or Awake had a big article about it. Can anyone here look it up for me. Thanks so much

What is the most stupid thing you ever did?!!!
by Spectrum inbtw: excluding joining jwism unless it's too intriguing not to say.
here's mine: .
it was in the day when the paraffin man went around selling to those that still had the old paraffin burners to keep their house warm.

I have I have...but my hubby is the very worse and never learns from being stupid because he will do the same stupid mistake over and over again....How about using a chain saw to cut dead limps off a tree while standing on an unsteady stool. Falling off the stool with the chain saw going full blast. At least he had sense enough to fling the thing just before he hit the ground with it in his hand. He never learns...He did it again this year. Same stool.

Many thanks to you shadow, The shadow always knows...
The WTS in my opinion, perverted justice by giving a bribe to the Mexician catilla in 1967.
