Gut Feelings - The Second Brain
by Xanthippe ini came across a link on the bbc site this morning to an article in scientific american on gut health claiming that one reason we need to keep our guts healthy with probiotics, a good diet and reducing antibiotics is because there are neurons in our gut that are part of the process to create dopamine and serotonin for the brain.

A little girl, her dog and her doll being destroyed for something she has no comprehension of? Oh, that's right, Fred Franz, the virgin who never would know what it was like to make love to a woman or cradle his own offspring in his arms and Nathan Knorr, the cold fish, who had no children of his own and (I believe) only one nephew (Joel Mock) whom he never spent any time with.

When I had my 'shepherding call' just before the Memorial, the two Elders calling on me told me this. All sales of Kingdom Halls and all construction is halted until further notice. One Elder was very surprised because the old hall that I used to attend had a cash offer and the Elders were told by Brooklyn DO NOT SELL at this time. -

luckily our 20 month-old grand-baby was restless and making noise, so i quickly volunteered to take him in the back.
so i didn't have to listen to the presentation.

What really shocked me was George Couch's suite at Watchtower Farms. I had to do some exterminating in there once and couldn't believe it. He had a fairly new, console color television and a bar that could rival a cruise ships bar.

Awww, you "love and miss us"? Really? Then why ignore us?
by stuckinarut2 inso we received the obligatory "shoved under the door" memorial invitation and "return to jehovah" brochure the other week.
it also had a hand written note from two elders saying "we love and miss you" etc.... so why then when one of them saw us at the grocery store, did he pretend to not see us and then ignore and quickly walk away?.
the sincerity is wonderful..... dont get me wrong, we dont want any attention from them, but it's an interesting observation anyway.....
