District Assemblies now being held at Circuit Assembly locations?
by ShirleyW ini haven't been to a kh in decades, so i get the google alerts for jws and i got one featuring a local news channel in brooklyn covering the assembly being held in flatbush, brooklyn.
i'm sure that venue is where the circuit assemblies are usually held, keeping in mind it's summer and that's when the district assemblies are being held.
why are they acting like they're so strapped for cash and now holding district assemblies in circuit assemblies locations ?.

No. Out of pocket medical expenses over $8,000.00 so far this year. Also, a dental complication of over $3,000.00. On top of that, my oldest sister almost died from bacterial meningitis in the Spring and I took time off from work to help with that. She was in critical care for over a month. Looking on the bright side, at least I had the finances to pay for these things.

by vivalavida ini guess you can be physically out, like in a huge way, but definitely mentally in.. serena williams claims she won't be celebrating her daughter's first birthday.. i did know people like that, raised as a jw but never actually baptizing.
that didn't mean they were not messed up in the head though..

I agree with you 100% Finkelstein. My issue is that the poor little child will probably pay the price of Serena's hypocrisy and unbalanced religiosity. Many of us raised by 'Witness' parents know full well the mental and emotional price we have had to pay being raised in such an environment.

Perhaps if we DID step up to the plate and treat the president, congress, illegal aliens, and diplomats equally by applying the laws of the land consistently, maybe some semblance of social stability would return to the United States.

I'm not "wishing" for anything. President Trump is the duly elected president of the United States. Even though I don't like him AT ALL, the American people have voted him into office and so he has the right to occupy the Oval Office. However, IF it is proven that he has participated in 'high crimes and misdemeanors' (which is a possibility) then he should vacate his political position. I'm not a partisan hack taking sides for or against President Trump. My point is that no one is 'above the law'; even the president, whether Republican or Democrat and should be treated the same as 'the man on the street' in the eyes of the law.

The real question for me is will Robert Mueller and his team be able to connect the dots:
Manafort ... Yanukovych ... Putin ... Trump.
There may really be something to this 4 way circle jerk. If Mueller can follow the money and prove some type of Russian Connection, then not only should President Trump be impeached but he should also be removed from office.
Everything else is just a side issue and 'window dressing.'

Suicides
by new boy ini have been on the phone the last to two weeks calling people i've known over the last forty years most of who are still jehovah's witnesses.
some of these people who didn't know i was "out" talked to me and some who knew i was "out" still talked to me.
some of the those people are even elders.. by book new boy will be dedicated to all the people who have killed themselves because of being a jehovah's witness or knowing others who were jehovah's witnesses.
