On her deathbed in the Spring of 2000 my fanatical, 'dyed in the wool' Jehovah's Witness mother still thought that Armageddon was just around the corner. She told me that if she could just leave the hospital and get home, she knew that Armageddon was only a few weeks away and that if she could just hold on, she would live to be in Paradise. A very, very sad situation indeed!

When you were fully in, did you believe that you would not die?
by TTWSYF ini know that it must seem silly to ask, but my brother and his family think that the big a will arrive before they die.
i tried to explain to my brother that everyone else who has ever lived in the past has died and only jesus has [physically] rose from the dead.. it is amazing that anyone could buy that line.
what crazy cult culture that could make people believe such nonsense?!.

I don't know who writes the AWAKE magazine, but I am pretty sure that this photo is a group shot of the translation committee of the NEW WORLD TRANSLATION BIBLE revised edition.

Since you have questioned how her faith as a Jehovah's Witness will affect your establishing a relationship with her, would it not also be fair to her to understand what it means for a Catholic to establish a relationship with a non-Catholic and for such an individual to marry outside of their faith?
"What are the requirements for marrying a non-Catholic Christian?"
"Technically, you only need permission, not a dispensation, to marry a Protestant Christian. To obtain permission to marry a non-Catholic baptized Christian, the following conditions must be fulfilled: (1) You declare that you are prepared to remove dangers of defecting from the faith; (2) you make a sincere promise to do all in your power so that all offspring are baptized and brought up in the Catholic Church; (3) the other party is to be informed at the proper time about the promises which you are to make, in such a way that it is certain that he or she is truly aware of the promise and your obligation; and (4) both parties are to be instructed about the purposes and essential properties of marriage which neither of the contracting parties is to exclude.
As for being married by a priest, you will be required to be married in the presence of your bishop or pastor ( or a priest or deacon delegated by either of them ) unless you pursue a dispensation to permit you to have a non-Catholic ceremony. This is known as a "dispensation from form" since it allows you to marry without observing the Catholic form of the marriage ceremony." - Jim Blackburn Catholic Answers.com
It seems that the Catholic religion discourages marrying out of the faith but is more accepting than the Jehovah's Witness religion. However, as a faithful Catholic there are certain 'promises' about your family that you must make to the Church, such as raising all children Catholic even though you are in a 'mixed marriage'. My advice is don't even consider it. If you are serious about your religion and she is serious about hers than if you get married you will open yourself up to heartache, family discord, unhappiness and a lifetime struggling for real intimacy. Find another Catholic to marry and move on with your life.

Another changed WT publication from when it was first published to now
by ILoveTTATT2 inthis is as it was originally, or at least at the time that paul grundy saw it, because he has this picture on jwfacts:.
this is what it says on jwfacts right now:.
watchtower articles on evolution contain a consistent pattern of poor research, such as quotes from both the january and august awake!

Anthony Morris III Autobiography ... The Real Truth
by Wild_Thing inthe watchtower published anthony morris iii's autobiography last year ... "remembering my first love has helped me to endure" by anthony morris iii.
i absolutely cannot believe how quickly he became a jehovah's witness.
in the span of less than a year, he attended his first meeting, studied, got baptized, became a pioneer, and married a jw girl.

I dedicate this song to you millie210! A.M. III is so self absorbed, he doesn't even know what an ignorant, uncouth, ill-mannered BORE that he really is.
My favorite line from this song is somewhat prophetic:
"Caught up in the fable, I watched the tower grow."

I heard this joke from a 'worldy' friend of my DEVOUT, fanatical JW mother:
Mike the good Irish Catholic died and was met at the elevator to heaven by Saint Peter. "Oh", says Saint Peter, "I know you Mike. You're the good Irish Catholic boy that loved the Lord so deeply. You will be going directly to the top floor, since that is the Catholic heaven!" As the elevator made its way upward, they passed the 2nd floor and heard chanting, bells ringing and smelled incense. Mike asked, "Who is on this floor?" To which Saint Peter replied, "That's the Eastern Orthodox floor of heaven." They continued to move upward and at the 6th floor strange languages were heard and lots of commotion. "And this floor" Mike asked, "which denomination is here?" "Why the Pentecostals, of course." came Saint Peters answer. Approaching the 9th floor beautiful choir music filled the air. "Let me guess", said Mike. "Is this the floor for the Mormon heaven? The choir is singing beautifully and in perfect harmony." "Yes, yes! Very good observation Mike. It is indeed Mormon heaven" said Saint Peter. Suddenly, Saint Peter stopped the elevator at the 12th floor. "Why are we stopping?" inquired Mike. "Well," Saint Peter admonished him, "You must be very, very quiet as we pass by the 13th floor." "May I ask why" said Mike. "Certainly", laughed Saint Peter, "That is the floor that the Jehovah's Witnesses are on. Even though there are only 144,000 of them, they think that they are the only ones here. We must not upset their delusion by making any noise when we pass by their floor!"
