  My first blood donation

  i've been to the clinic to watch mr frass donate, and it was pretty confronting.

  still i've realised that if i'm happy with taking blood, i should be happy to give it too, so i'm going to become a donor.

  I was speaking to my hubby just yesterday about this. I said that I definitely want to donate and am going to look into doing so very soon.

  I was told at my JC that I could never go back to the org even if I wanted to (which I don't).
  
  It was because I was guilty of loose conduct (not adultery) but my plans were to leave my husband and move in with the love of my life. Obviously then I would be committing adultery.
  
  Because I would not heed the elders advice and not go ahead with that course of action, they told me I was willfully sinning against the spirit and there was no going back for me, EVER. They read me a scripture to back this up and everything!
  
  If it really was God's true org I'm sure he'd forgive anything right? That really proved to me that it never was the true religion.

  I came home to find my wife crying over THAT article.

  i came home today to find my wife crying whilst reading the 'when a loved one leaves jehovah' article.

  its been a good few months now and i can appreciate how she feels.

  but it just irritates me how my disagreeing with this religion has such a catastrophic effect on our everyday lives.

  Christmas 2005 was the first one I celebrated even though I've been df'd for 4 years.
  
  It was great, turkey lunch, champagne breakfast and prezzies for the kids. I didn't decorate the house though, realised that I don't know how to!! SAD ain't it??

  Oh I can just imagine my mum and sister reading that article and applying it to ME.
  
  I really hate the WBTS.
  
  If they just changed the shunning rule they would be a lot happier and so would we and so would Jesus (I don't remember him ever shunning anyone in the scriptures!)

  jws celebrate birthdays?!

  i was speaking to a friend last night, trying to explain why i don't go to meetings etc,(waste of time though she just can't seem to understand my point whatever i say), anyway she said as long as i don't d'a myself she can still speak to me.

  she said they only d'f you if you commit a gross sin.

  i refuted this saying if they knew i didn't agree with some of the teachings, sent a fathers day card etc and you weren't sorry they'd get rid of you.

  My family are all strict jw's but they always call on mine,my kids and each others birthdays to wish us happy birthday.
  
  My mum gave me and my sister a card and prezzie on our 18th.
  
  My sister and I gave my mum a card and prezzie on her 50th.
  
  What the elders don't know won't hurt them.
