Hi everyone, I'm in on this. I want to lose about 21 pounds, hopefully by the summer but not too bothered if it takes longer. I'm on the Atkins diet, cutting out those evil carbs is what really works for me.

Did you read the whole Bible when you were a JW?
by outofthebox inafter an informal poll in my congregation (and many awkward responses) i found out that almost nobody had read the whole bible ever, not even the elders (surprise!).
brothers and sisters with 20, 30, 40 and 50 years as jws don't know what the bible says.
so, if god decides that a test is coming, will they pass it?

No I didn't but my grandfather read it 8 times. The last two times was whilst he was dying of lung cancer in hospital. What a waste of his final hours eh?

NEW CAR FOR BUBBLE
by south african beef inbubble and i are off to choose a new car for her tomorrow.. we won't get it tomorrow as she wants the new '08 plate but we have to decide soon.. the choice is either a vw golf 1.6tsi match or a fiat grande punto 1.4dynamic sport - which shall we go for?.
the glof we would probably have to buy on personal contract hire but the punto we buy outright.
she has a punto now.. i know the golf has a good reputation for reliability but it's a bit dull!

This is the alternative. It's far better on quality, but I will pay £3000 more for that privilege.

Worldtraveller - I'm not too worried about fuel economy as I only work 9 miles from home. I don't ever drive long distances.
Juni - Yeah I think I might take your advice.

Ok, what do you think? I can get this sporty, pretty fiat punto, or I can go for a sensible, slightly boring vw golf.

My cousin died yesterday.
by nicolaou inhe was 43, just a few months older than me.
his kidneys failed him when he was just 15 and he'd been on dialysis ever since.
a couple of transplants had failed in the early years and his body deteriorated after that.

((((Mike))))
When I die they can take all my organs, I'll certainly have no more use for them. Shame the transplants didn't work out long term for your cuz, but like has already been said, at least he isn't suffering any more.

Sorry?
by RichieRich inover the past few days... someone who i'm no longer associated with has been out on vendetta to discredit me.
it started with a mass mail to my myspace friends, which caused nothing more than a few eyebrows to be raised.
that was the reaction of people who know me in real life.

I have run out of petrol twice in my life. Once I had to rescued with a can of petrol and the second time I was 6 feet away from the petrol pump (nearly judged it right).
I hate filling up while I know there's still one or two journeys left in the tank.

Accidentally Hit Animals with Cars ? A Problem in Rural areas-Experiences?
by flipper inso, hello folks.
i have wanted to start this thread for sometime because i was curious if it has happened to any of you often.
in the last 10 years or so it seemed that deer were attracted to my trucks like magnets .

Yes Flipper, I did kill a pidgeon in my car. I think it was committing suicide, it just flew at the front of my car as if it wanted to die. Perhaps it was old and disoriented and flew at my car by accident. Bizarre I agree.
The hedgehog incident only happened a few days ago. I still feel guilty, if only I had pulled the netting over the box instead of letting it dangle over the side then the whole tradegy need never have happened. I had to put on rubber gloves and cut it free, and it's little leg was bleeding where it had tried to struggle free. I then stared a at the poor thing for about 10 minutes just in case it was still alive and breathing. Needless to say it wasn't, so I put it in a bin bag (together with the rubber gloves and the netting) and placed it in my wheely bin.
