Not another troll. This really is getting boring.
Go back to the Kingdom Hall platform where you belong and all the brain dead drones in the audience will lap up your drivel I'm sure.

Truth
by EternalLife inif those people are of some positive energy, they will see the light.
that is their free will choice.
as part of our ministry to those that oppose the truth, we point out that a humble heart is the only thing that saves anyone.

The point is, we're all very happy to be here.
More importantly, why the hell are you here?

Curiosity dictates a question like this...
by Juniper inhave any of you out there ever taken the "opposite route" and studied paganism or wicca?.
i know of some that practice that.
but i've been thinking about what a strange irony that would be, right?

Veil Wearing Moslems v Cross Wearing Christians
by Clam inthings are getting nuttier here in the so called "united" kingdom.
we now have a female moslem classroom assistant who has been suspended from her place of work because she insists on wearing a veil in class.
bizarrely she works in a church of england school and at the interview wore no veil while being interveiwed by a man.

May I say that I would not be allowed to wear a cross around my neck for work. In fact I'm not allowed to wear any jewelry except for a watch, wedding band and stud earrings. It's not a problem for me or any of my colleagues because we understand that we look far more professional this way.
The woman who works for British Airways should GET A LIFE. Wear what you want out of work but do what your employers ask of you in their time - they are paying your wages after all. -

Confessions to Elders
by megsmomma ini was reading the masterbation thread and it reminded me of my experience....it is sooo embarrasing!
when i was 13, my jw friend and i dicussed this topic.
we both admitted that we had the "m" problem...and we tried to help eachother with it by checking up on eachother...."hi....how are you doing with your "m" problem?.......not so good....did it last night....me too....." so we decided we needed to talk to the elders about it and on a thurday night we both asked to meet with them.

When I was 18 my best friend who was raised a jw but was never baptised, confided in me that she had become pregnant and subsequently had an abortion.
The elders knew I knew something, so 3 of them came round to my house and gave me the third degree. I told them everything because I wanted to be a good jw and thought I would be as guilty as her if I didn't reveal what I knew.
I felt like shit. They disassociated her and she went through hell with her family because they had no idea about the pregnancy. I lost someone who I'd been friends with for 7 years. I still feel so bad for what I did to her, betraying her confidence.
This is one of the many reasons I hate the org. -

How old did you expect to be when the New System would come?
by JH ini became a jw at age 28 and no way did i expect to ever get older than 40 years old in this system.. maybe at the extreme, i could have imagined being 45 years old, not more..

I never had a specific age in mind, maybe it's because deep down I thought it would never come!
