I have a friend whose initials are FIG and I keep trying to get him to open an Irish pub (like Chicago does not have enough of those) named FIG's Nip. I, of course, would be part of the local flavor and would be the female version of Norm. He refuses to quit his job as an attorney and open an Irish pub, but I still love the name FIG's Nip, even if he will not bow to my greater power.

I don't think it is, I think it is the "symbol" he is known for and at one time changed his "name" to. Interesting though, I always thought it looked a lot like the him and her symbols as well as a modified cross.

Fluff....Do you have a pet that saved you from something?
by restrangled inback on an early thanksgiving morning many years ago we had 2 siamese cats that were brothers.. the furnace in our basement would throw out a flame when turned on.
my mom one evening left a broom next to that furnace.
during the night that broom caught fire, and promptly lit up everything in the basement once ignited.

a good witness does not question anything but tow the line. a so-so witness allows reason to occasionally cause them to question things that don't make sense.

I know that I am not the first nor will I be the last to have this happen to. It is emotional blackmail. You cannot reason w/ them because to them they are "helping" their wayward family members. As has been pointed out before, even should she return, I will still be less likely to have a real relationship w/ her because of her continual blind faith in this destructive religion.

Ever gotten to the point you don't want to date then....
by 5go ini wanted to get married mainly for you know what finally after all the crap that happened in my early tweenties i gave up.
now a lady is bugging me to date her i want to but, i am so screwed up right now from all the other girls i tried to persuit, and she has kids to boot which i am basicaly afraid of.
not because they are bad mainly because of my past and the fact i am a not sure of myself as a mature adult.

Why does it have to be all or nothing. Why can't you date and take your time to do it. Just cause you date someone does not mean that you have to marry them. If want to date her, date her. But make it clear that you are NOT ready to get married. I also would encourage you to not get to know her kids until you are ready to really be a part of her and their lives. Take your time, it is not a race. So if you date and then you don't really care to date her anymore, you are just breaking up with her and not her kids as well.
