Is "spiceant" an active JW?

i have been reading his posts and although he claims to have just met the jws a couple of months ago, he "sounds" like a jw.

comments?

i visit JW congegrations twice a week and figuring "the borg" out by myself by my experience with JW's. I feel atracted to the JW society because i (think i) feel heartfelt sympathy from its members, more then any amount from anywhere else.

i want to know:

Their stance on blood transfusion as it is now (untill death do them part from the org?)
About their baptism (of the holy spirit and/or organization?)
Isolating the people from bad teachers (read, disfellowshipping)
Their opinion of failed prophecys (for example, 1975)
more things i dont remember i right now

In whatever case, i am seriously thinking of turning them to the bible of they havent (as they appear to turn many catholics/christians to them) and i intend to turn them to the bible (if they havent).

I do believe in the end times, i do believe we'r going to see a big event happen that can be traced back to the grand history book (the bible), I do believe in armageddon, paradise, the genesis report, heartfelt love for every fellow living being, patience & understanding (open mind) and many other beautifull things.

I do believe in myself, i pray, i dont curse, i stopped masturbating, i stopped cursing, i stopped hating people, i did a lot of other things to but i am still not perfect.

Little things that mean alot

okay i hate to sound mean but witnesses in my opinion are mean and rude (that once included me) without even realizing it, maybe.

because the little things that non-witnesses do in everyday life for others and their family mean alot to ones they love or complete strangers.. what are some little things you can do know that show someone you care..that you weren't allowed to do before?.

1. saying "bless you" after someone sneezes

i once gave away my pocket money to someone i perceived as a beggar, he was playing a small instrument and it sounded beautifull, i threw in the 10$ equivalent first and then the coins over it so the wind wouldnt blow it anywhere.

I need advice regarding child support

i know this is a forum about jehovahs witnesses, but with so many intelligent people with varying ideas to solutions on problems, thought i would post my problem here.

my daughter's father is $35,000 behind on child support.

i have always tried to be suportive of their relationship and made sure they could see each other on his weekends.

I think you should ask him about his financial situation because (i think) he might get a lot of problems if he doesnt have the money that you might try force out of him and (i suppose) squeezing an empty sponge is only going to get you a squeezed sponge.

Be self controlled, do not blurt out your anger, try to understand his situation and why he doesnt pay and try to come up with a solution. Be tolerant and forgiving (not a 7 but 7 times 77), you already said you dont need the money so you can materially survive that. Whatever you do do not dispell the understanding he might have for you by becoming angry or complaining. Tell him you think that a loving father lives up to the responsibilitys of a father (if you do) but try not to complain, because this will not help you with him because complains do not have any form of love in them.

People give to people who give, and forgiveness and understanding are one of the greatest things someone can give. Try to show understanding, compassion, love, restraint, be humble and many more beautiful things ouer heavenly father would want us to exhibit and be.

I would post a lot more, but the issue is about the daughters father and not a broken marriage.

I think the OP violates rule NR 1:

Insulting, threatening or provoking language

Can we please be more sympathetic, one of ouer grand examples we call Jesus Christ of Nazareth would never have wanted his followers to think like this much less have thought thoughts like these that lead us to hate one another. Love your neighbour as yourself and in my opinion show respect.

i know you are sick of that phrase by now....because jdubs use it all the time when referring to 'apostates'.

they come on this forum or (people you know) generalize 'apostates' as though we are of different class...that we are no longer human.

they are obviously fed these little tid-bits about 'apostates' from the society since i am sure they don't personally know many.

your neighbours is not just the family living next door, across the street, in the same block but practically everyone on the entire inhabited earth, i suggest we let no bad feelings overcome us, now against ouer family, friends but also the Brooklyn people and forbid, even the criminals. If you cant abide by mark 12:28-31 i dont think you will have a lot succes doing anything, wether it is going door to door or saving people from the WTS if one does not follow these 2 laws..

i have read a lot of text and story's about people that leave the jw's and this appears to be pretty much all that's being talked about.. i assume you believe that you have done right by your opposing stand to the jw's because you believe you have been done evil (or have seen jw's do evil) and probably right so.

do you people still pray to jehova and study the bible (on your own for once) as to get to know jehova's purpose for us?.

i wonder about this because i fear that you might "revert" back to the common western culture (assuming you live in one because you'r after all reading this over the internet) which i appal and detest in very many of its motivational aspects (that is, the motivations of its people) that are crudely speaking, selfish and ultimately, in the generations long run destructive.

Well its been a month since i stopped posting here, i dont know why and i dont really care, perhaps there was nobody looking back at this place.

Iv been visiting JW congegrations 2x a week now and am following a bible study 1x a week (by a booklet they that means, what "does the bible teach"? Its about how important it is to use god's personal name, i wonder what it is, i just about forgot (no i havent forgotten Jehovah's or Jahwes' name). If i remember correctly we should use it because it helps us get a personal relationship with ouer dear omnipotent superpower and it becomes a kind of obstacle when it is replaced by phrases like "The LORD".

I havent asked a lot of 'hard' questions yet, i did notice two JW's talk about someone and they made a remark that one of their (ex-?)friends biggest obstacle is that he doesnt have a lot of social contact now that he is "out there". I also did ask wether or not they are vegetarian and i learned that they dont go farther in that then not eating meat that has blood in it (no revelation here). I could link a few sites that explain my gripe with eating meat (the meat 95% or above of the western culture eats) but im not sure if i should do that. I do intend to do something with vegetarian diets in the JW society but the biggest support from the bible (i found) is that we shouldnt gorge ouerselves on meat (and forbid, i forgot where it is said).

next thursday i'm going to ask wether or not there are any internet sites JW's shouldnt go to i also intend to go out and read to them a part of the psalms, (as a part of their bible reading program) to hopefully grow some reputation and to give me a litle "social foundation" (from where to fortify and expand my mental warfare for the gospel of universal unparrallelled love).

Insofar i havent met very much resistance, my grandmother phoned me today (its my birthday) and we have a conversation about JW's and she didnt know "a lot either" but she did manage to remember that she had the impression that the transition of JW -> any religion is harder then any religion -> JW. She also found it very scary that the JW's preach the end times, armageddon, being saved and etcetera, you'v heard it. She also advised id be carefull before i commit myself to any religion, but i had already decided that much and i intend to spend many more months learning about JW's and religions as a whole.

did anyone understand what i just typed out?

Another reason the WTS doesn't want JWs on the net?

we all pretty well understand that the wts tells jws that bing on the internet is dangerous to their spiritual standing because people on the net are controlled by satan

but... maybe there is a second reason.we also know that the wts believes if people read the wt literature they will come to the wrong conclusions.

people require someone to sit with them and read every paragraph of a wt book to make sure they understand the book in the right way.we know the website for the wts is pretty sanitized so people don't run off too quicklywe know there is no place on the wts' website for discussion.

the internet as we know it is probably "infested" by worldly people and there would be litle sense behind exposing JW's to that.

A discussion board on the watchtower.com site can quickly become the focal point of a flame war.

Noise pollution

have you recently had a moment when it was completely silent and there was no noise whatsoever?.

as i see it now we as a western society have grown to become more and more noisyer then we have ever been, now that we can coveniently purchase lots of cheap machines ouer lives are becoming more and more filled with a culprit that i call noise.

noise in itself is often not perceived as such nausiance but often as an affordable companion of leasure and covenience.. the public property that we call air is very often taken for granted and disregarded by ouer fellow people, big citys are already very noisy places but should we really care about noise?.

Can the constant lack of some silence break ouer consience and common sense to a detoriated state? I am considdering the possibility because a lot of people dont seem to have a grasp of basic logic and/or some common sense and prefer to follow their which are not surpressed by noise (altough a noisy enviroment is prone to agitate people).
