  in case you missed it, blondie has more posts than anyone on jwd now.

  i believe her watchtower summary is one of the best weekly items we look for.

  plus she's one of the sharpest persons on the board.

  I like this "In time, the infatuation and lust will pass. It has too. Still, it can last up to 10 years. It's the friendship that should develop during this time that will help it last a life time."
  
  I've been married twice and lived with someone. Now I've been with my partner for 10 yrs. We live separately, two houses, and 6 kids between us. Some grown, some teens. We spend time together then go to our respective homes for a break. We may eventually live together, probably not marry legally. More time will tell what will take place.

  well, it's been brewing for a long time and i was getting ready for it, but i've finally gotten the shun-for-life from my folks.

  i was going to visit them in a few months and had arranged to see my non-witness grandparents for a few days too, and invited them along.

  'I know that what I'm losing now is conditional love - I only get to be loved if I affirm your faith.'
  I am unable to understand a parent loving their child conditionally! Regardless of what a child does, love covers all. Isn't this the example Jesus set?
  
  I hope in time the pain will pass for you, however, your parents pain will not end as long as they cling to the WTS.

  Newbies Introduce yourselves!

  ok, i have been in and out of here lately due to schedules.

  each time i log in there is a new member on the board.

  when i go to see who they are...usually there is nothing and everyone is doing great and jumping right into conversation...but i for one would like to know your stories...anyone care to share or just introduce themselves to everyone?.

  Hi, I confess I'm guilty of jumping in and posting here without explanation but I felt shhyyy! I have been loitering here for some time - couldn't make up my mind to join or not but many of the people here caused me to laugh with their comments and that's a good thing.
  
  Since I left the WTS - by the way I'm not disfellowshipped - I don't feel I have anything to grab hold of and that I am simply floating along if you know what I mean. This board gives support and many here have good insight and interesting backgrounds as ex-JW's and some I see are still in.
  
  What led to me leaving was the UN and the child paedophile cases within the org. and their claim that only they are the channel to God. There are other teachings I have not been able to get my head around as well but as I learn more here I'm pretty sure that everything will come together in time.

  it is a shame that people are here portraying themselves as jehovah's witness as having some knowlege or going to meetings.

  what exists here is a complete lack of faith in anything.

  and a great amount of stupidity.

  I want a "No Blood Card"!

  ok, first off, let me make it clear that i'm no baptized jehovah's witness.

  i studied for about 2 1/2 years, and was a publisher for about half the time.

  i don't attend meetings, because..well.... i haven't yet summoned enough courage to ask forgiveness for my many wrong-doings.

After reading about the elusive blood card available only for JW's in good standing and the position of jgnat's hubby, I'm convinced that this is an exclusive club like religion On second thoughts you'd think that they - the JW's - would be happy that outsiders are convinced that they are right re the blood issue.   yesterday morning was my bookstudy.

  but i had a runway show to do that night (i think i have mentioned before that i have been pursuing modeling) and so of course i had to skip out.

  my parents go to a differ bookstudy than me but in the same hall and so they were able to notice that i was not there.

  All this advice is excellent and I havn't anything extra to add excepting that I was in your position and with two children in tow many years ago. I faced all those fears you have and got through it.
