Why not just make copies of your DA letter and send it to EVERYONE in the Cong. instead of just the elders ? That way there would be no speculation about why.

Meetings: Are They Morons?
by metatron inso, the new arrangement for meetings includes a jam-packed ministry school/service meeting and book study that ends at 8:45pm in many halls - unless they go overtime!.
these geniuses tried to create a family night because they realize witness families are falling apart so they created an awfully long meeting instead that will often take place on a thursday night - just prior to friday when countless kids have tests in school scheduled!.
good for them!

Don't forget that alot of families are being torn apart by that UNCristian JW shunning policy.

ex-jw books up for grabs
by rebel8 ini have 3 copies of the following book that i want to get rid of.
(hope this is ok simon--i'm truly not selling them--they cost me about $12 each.
it should be less than $3 to ship them in the continental us via media mail, so i'd ask those interested to cover that.

Totally against celebrating the anniversary of a persons birth, but all for celebrating the anniversary of a marriage - even with a cake and gifts.

I remember my first concert. It was in a large club. It was Armoured Saint/Helloween and Grim Reaper. I was 16. One of my buds I went with picked his nose and put the booger on the side of the building while we were in line to get in. While Helloween was on, Steve Grimmet was walking around the club with a girl on each arm. I always wanted to be a rock star cuz of seeing that.

When SHOULD you have "woken up" ?
by wobble ini can look back to a number of occasions when if i had at the time not left my braincells at home on charge, i should have "woken up" and walked from the wtbs.. one such was 15 or 20 yers ago we had a washtowel on daniels prophecy with the really wacky explanations of the 1260 days and 2300 days etc.
i had about 12 questions on this, like what on earth happened on the supposed finish date that marked the fulfillment of a great prophecy,i also had this thing that showed the 2520 years to be crap,i gave the list of questions to 7 or 8 elders, and none of them gave me a decent answer!.
one kindly elder, who has since faded, warned me to be carefull who i showed my questions to,and hinted that he felt it was all suspect too.. what a big banana i was not to wake up then!.

First of all, I was around jws almost all my life. Then I really started studying at 19 with an elder I'd known from my youth. Every study and every conversation he had a habit of saying things like: "The SOCIETY says..." or "The publications say..." Not really referring me to the Bible but referring me to "the society". He even did that from the platform when he gave talks or conducted the book study or the TMS. "The SOCIETY says so-and-so..." he would say.
Looking back that was a red flag.

Theres's just one flaw that negates the whole argument. Jesus' shed blood has nothing to do with a kingdom hall, much less a seat therein.
