Views of worldy folk as a witness

i bring this subject up because personally i dont get it.. i have noticed that some posters use words such as 'evil' or 'stinking goats' to describe the view (either their own adopted view or that of the jw org) they had of worldly people whilst a jehovahs witness.. the reason i find this difficult to understand is because i never felt that way toward 'people of the world' whislt being a believer of of the teachings of the jw organisation.

and i didnt pick up on it being rammed down my throat by the org either.

now i wonder if i was ignorant of something, not paying enough attention or if it is just each individuals approach toward life that makes the difference.. what were your views of 'people of the world and why?.

Good question, I never viewed them as bad or goat like. In fact that was one of the things

that bothered me as a JW. And one of the reasons was when I heared a talk on

(showing love for neighbor) and how we should bake a cake for your neighbor

or mow there lawn or when there sick take a meal to them, but

at the same time don't associate with them. This never set well with me. It made

me feel hypocritical and self-righteous.

Hi Marcel
You touched on a very hard subject for me. I have always had a
hard time with this. When I learned the “truth” I think I was willing to
give God a benefit of a doubt. Twenty something years later I think
I gave up. When I here of horrific things done to people it sickens
me.
I always viewed the world as though we where children playing in the
park and Jehovah was the policeman sitting across the street in his
patrol chariot just watching the goings on.
As rapist, child molesters, wife beaters, and what ever else you can
think of are wondering around the park terrorizing innocent people.

They say wait on Jehovah, but all I can think of are scriptures like
Ecclesiastes 8:11, Mathew 24:12.
When I see the footage of the twin towers going down and the
people running for there lives and jumping out of the buildings
I get a sick feeling in my gut.
I also think of Rev 12:12 and think how loving it is that Jehovah
can cast such wonderful things down on the play ground. Especially
when there is how many billions of planets he could of put them on.

Why do we have to prove Jehovah right? Why can’t Jehovah prove
himself right?

Keep in mind that suffering has been going on for thousandssssss of years not
just in the last few decades.

Is Jehovah just imaginary comfort for our fears?

I'm sorry your life stinks, but you know life doesn't stink. Yes it's

hard sometimes, but I have never felt better about being alive

since I have left.

I know it's hard to except that there is happiness beyond

the WTS, but believe me there is and people are wonderful.

The Single Most Dangerous JW Meeting....in my opinion!

the way i see it, pretty much everyone here knows that the 5 weekly meetings, the memorial, the dc's and ca's are all a bunch of rubbish and jibber jabber.

there is still one other meeting, not as frequently held as the others, that jw's use very effectively to control existing members and bring in new converts and this meeting sadly plays apon the emotions of all in attendance.. what meeting is this?.

I couldn’t agree with you more EC. It’s such a sales pitch and what pissis me off is that they know dam well that they have a captive audience

that came there not to hear there b__s__t but came out of respect for that person. I always would cringe in my seat when they started to push there doctrines.
