I know of a brother who did, but it took a court order. I do not know any other details about it, except that some material was left out and the court agreed to that. That was in the U.S. -

i'm nauseous from reading.
it's just another example of how some will go so far to make up bs and pawn it off as "truth.".

Years ago in another KH I attended, a blind woman visited after being invited by a Witness. She brought with her a blind guide dog but was told to leave the dog tied up to a fence outside. She complied, but never came back again.
This has been told many times so I decided to share with everyone..
In England, one of our blind brothers had a guide dog that would faithfully take him to the meetings each week.
The dog got into the routine of bringing our brother every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday to the Kingdom Hall.
When our brother died, the dog became the property of another blind person, this time a non-Witness.
The dog left the man puzzled.
Every Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays the dog was raring to go and encouraging his owner to leave the house.
So finally, the man followed the dog’s lead, and unknown to him, he was brought to the Kingdom Hall and guided to a chair. The man didn’t know where he was, but he enjoyed the warm reception he got from everyone. He started to study the Bible with the Witnesses.
Not only does this experience show how Jehovah can even use his animal creation to bring someone into the Truth, but… also: If a dog knows where he should be on Tues., Thurs., and Sundays, isn’t it a good example for us and our own meeting attendance ? ?
We now have only TWO DAYS to attend Meetings weekly… Only Two

Some of us used to wear little gold pins to conventions with the Watchtower in the background, Bible just below it and with a circle. -

Why doe New light tick me off???? Next 2 weeks WT Studies
by zophar inif you have been a jw for 20+ years you may remember that the wt went into great detail on different illustrations that jesus used and the "type/anti-type" ridiculous explanations.
remember the revelation book and how those obscure jw conventions of the past pictured big things in heaven and the opening of seals?
anyway, the wt lessons for the next two weeks do two big things for me.

The majority of Jehovah Witnesses seem to have average to low education standards and of course their are others with higher education in their ranks...
Could this be a reason why nu-lite is readily accepted by the rank and file ? So easily ?
Smiddy, I think that is one of the biggest reasons.

Celebrating Holidays Should Be a "Conscience Matter"
by Wild_Thing inthe witnesses seem to love to make things a "conscience matter" and then just shame people into doing whatever it is they want them to do anyway.
so, why haven't they done this with the holidays?
there are plenty of scriptures in their own bible they could use to justify making it a conscience matter, yet the last i knew, celebrating christmas was still a disfellowshipping offense.

Wild_Thing I have pointed some of these passages out to Witnesses before, but most either said "Interesting," and thought nothing more about it, or the others rolled their eyes in confusion and really didn't care.
My family is active in the congregation, but we also celebrate various holidays (and Biblical Holy Days), including Memorial (Passover). Although, for obvious reasons, we do so in private. But we have always celebrated Thanksgiving openly and have invited some brothers over for dinner. Nothing was ever said about it. I know many Witnesses that do the same.
A couple of years ago, I knew an elder that lost his privs in another congregation for attending a Christmas party. I have heard of some being DF'd for it. -

The GB must be loving this kind of garbage. Free marketing. I call it idolatry.
