Micheal Jackson....in trouble!
by RubyTuesday in.
the la district attorney says since the "abuse" ocurred out of our jurisdiction that they cannot file criminal charges (hopefully germany will) against micheal jackson.he does say however that they are working on a way to .
(.now this is second hand info..i'm looking for an article on this ) to take the child or children away from him.. did you see the footage of him taking the kids to the zoo yesterday.he had burkas on them.what is this guy thinking?

The LA district attorney's office is not going to try to get MJ's kids away from him over the balcony issue.
Though he may not have been thinking when he did it, I hardly believe he meant any harm.
How many parents do not put seatbelts on their kids? That is a very dangerous occurance that happens millions of times every day. And we are hung up on the balcony issue??
Come on people!

Micheal Jackson: Bubbles isn't the only victim...

I think MJ has made great music, and is hugely talented. I do think his childhood was tough, and we all handle things like that differently.
I do not believe the molestation charges against him, and think he generally means well. I have talked with several people who knew him at different stages in his career, and all had wonderful things to say about him.
Obviously, he has a bad self image, and that is reflected in his strange behavior regarding his face. I was just mentioning to my wife yesterday, that Karen Carpenter saw herself as fat, though her ribs were showing through. Who knows how MJ sees himself. Though he may seem strange, it does not mean he is a bad guy.

Brain Washing
by JH inhave we been brain washed, when we studied with the jehovah witnesses?
call it brainwash or mind control, have we been exposed to this kind of treatment?
so many meetings a week, and so much reading to do, having no time to think for ourselves, and not realize what we were actually doing.

If one were to do deep research on the subject, they would find that absolutely the WTS uses brainwashing techniques.
Do they do it intentionally and knowingly? Don't know, and I would like to think not. But they sure have not given themselves any creditbility on other things, so the scary answer to that very well may be, yes.

Discussions With God
by IslandWoman infor those that pray, do you pray only in quiet reverence and thankfulness or do you also pray as if god were right there in front of you and you have this bee in your bonnet (or whatever .
personally i pray to god about anything even about being upset with him.
i love god and do not fear him so to lovingly be upset with him sometimes, is just me.

I think we should respectfully be able to talk to God about anything.

America/US government...a lying contradiction.
by pomegranate inthose who already walk submissively will say there is no cause for alarm.
but submissiveness is not our heritage.
the first amendment was designed to allow rebellion to remain as our heritage.

Og,
My thought is this:
The fact is that the US is a great place to live. Sure there are others, and we enjoy the freedoms that come with living in them. Is the US perfect? By no means. But it is awesome to live in a place that we can choose our lifestyle, basically do what we want as long as we don't intend harm on others.
There are many countries out there that one does not have the freedom to choose. To sit here in this country and complain about it, blows my mind. But at least that is ones choice. Thank God we have a choice here. At the same itme, if we don't like something, we can do something about it. Get out and vote. Get out there and make a difference. Do something positive. Go make a positive change in someones life.
There are simply too many people saying this and saying that, but do absolutely nothing about it. I just think it is disrespectful to talk trash about one of the most free nations in the world.
But then again, that is a given right in this nation. Try doing that in Iraq.
Hope that sheds a little light on what I meant Og. It was not a matter of "showing" anyone anything.

by WingCommander insince i am new on this forum, just thought i'd share my story.
(though it seems typical on here) born into jw's.
parent's nutty jw friends told them to raise children like nazi's, and not allow them to do anything, or associate with anyone other than jw kids.
