while i'm not a regular as much as i used to be (maybe get to the hall 10 times a year), i always give praise and thanks to jehovah and his son jesus as requested in the bible on the appropriate day.
i have never missed a memorial.
whether or not i agree with everything the gb or watchtower puts out or says, is irrelevant.
When asked about holidays, I remember the witnesses saying that the memorial is the only thing they celebrate.
I hardly feel like it was a celebration. Never was a meeting more formal, and full of rituals, that all the halls followed. Do this, then prayer, do that, then prayer. While I imagine the reason behind the memorial is sincere, I never felt like it was a celebration.
The most exciting part came afterwards, if you were lucky enough to be invited to go out to eat afterwards with some of the cliques.
And oh the talk if someone actually ate the crackers or drank the wine. I remember once in a great while a "spiritually weak" one would take some. The elders would get together and decide not to count them. Surely they could not be one of the 144,000.
when i attended high school as a witness, i wanted to play on the football team.
i would have been very good.
not only was i not allowed to play, i could not even attend the games, for fear of bad association.. did anyone here give up sports because of being a witness?

Did anyone here give up sports because of being a witness? Or perhaps other fun after school activities?
there's a debate raging over here.

If time was money in this case, then I would have tons. Other than that, I really didn't spend too much money, and I think I only donated about $5 once on the World Wide Kingdom Work.
Got out in my mid twenties, spent virtually nothing as a kid.
with all the recipes floating around i thought i would ask everyone if you like fruit cake?
and if so is it the light or dark or both with or with out marzipan on the top?
what is your favorite brand?
I like it best on someone else's plate. :)

Please tell me you are not serious when suggesting that Bush had something to do with 9-11.
As far as the towers, I believe closer to 50,000 worked between the two towers, and if you recall, each building had approx 1 hour for people to get out. Time enough for the majority to get out, not counting those that had not even gotten to work yet.
To suggest that "someone" knew, and they told thousands of people to "call in sick" and not go to work that day is just ridiculous.
here is something to think about.. zev.
"pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock" .
unit 5 (a).
Willing to meet with the committee thus admitting accountability with the congregation?
.............Interesting.
if you still believe in the new system, and living forever on earth, where in the world would you like to live?
There are many beautiful places on earth, but I chose Southern California, and would chose this area regardless.
Nothing wrong with having a couple of vacation homes, but I will stay here until I die.
