HELP! NEED INFORMATION
by SHUNNED FATHER inwhere in the watch tower publications does it say that jw family members should not associate with a family member that has been disfellowshipped or disassociated.
i will be going to court to get access to my daughter cassandra and joint custody.
for the past several months, i have not been able to have any visits with her.

They don't know we left
by imanaliento inour first congregation is about 350 miles and we moved to a new one 8 years ago.
we kept in touch with the people that brought us in the truff over the years.
like there was some special bonding.. we disassociated here in aug, i guess it was announced in sept. we thought that word would travel and our old congregation would get the news.

If you care about them, I would just say you have not been going. Fade away is best.
Otherwise, you can tell them, that sadly, due to what you have found out, this is not the true organization, and you are so sorry to have to tell them.
We should not have to be on the defense. If we just change the way we say it, I think it will go much further.

I cried for the past
by joelbear ini cried for a long time today, very deeply, sobbing heavily for those i have lost in my life.
mostly due to watchtower rules.. i am developing a new set of bear friends and look forward to good times with them.. the suicidal thoughts have subsided.. i have never really tried to make a concrete set of friends here.
i think its time to do so.

bad songs
by freedom96 in.
i was reading a post that reminded me of the songs that were popular but was wrong to listen to for various reasons.. we all remember puff the magic dragon being about drugs, which i hear was just a rumour.. another i remember was let it be by the beatles, which was " catholic based about mary the mother of jesus" when apparently it was written about paul mccartney's own mother.
shows what they know.. which songs do you remember that were "bad" that we were not supposed to listen to?

Don't forget Michael Jackson being da'd. Couldn't listen to that.
And how they used to say that he lost Jehovah's blessing after he left the organization. That is why he is not as popular.

My revenge will be total success, both financially and family and friends. They will see that life didn't suck for me after I left.

I remember too that Styx was accused of having backward satanic messages.
People also used to say that Styx shouldn't be listened to because their name comes from a river in Hell in Greek mythology. The fact was, that most of the people in Styx were Christians, and the name came from the name of the river, but the river went through heaven as well. Their music included heavier rock music as well as ballads, so they thought the name worked perfect; the river going through different areas of life.
Also we were not supposed to listen to anyone gay.
