You should consult a lawyer before picketing. I have known people that have made people so mad that a fight broke out and they were charged with disorderly conduct. Then you will need to hire a criminal lawyer and possibly face a civil lawsuit by the person that you get into a fight with.
You should also never picket alone and arrive and leave the picket as a group.

so the other day my family and i were surfing the net...and came upon this and other websites about the use of subliminal messages in the j.w.

books and magazines.

This is very similar to looking in the clouds and seeing animals and human faces. When our eyes look at something it can see what is there and if the eyes focus on a single item it tries to make it into something recognizable. There is nothing demonic about it.

You view the world as black and white and the Bible as all true or all false. Any writing by man can have errors, opinion and truth in it. That doesn't mean that everything in the Bible is wrong becuase there is an opinion or error in it. Even Jesus corrected the OT and in his many letters Paul said, "This is not from the Lord". Obviously we no longer worry about the type of cloth we wear along with many other Laws from the OT.
There are errors in the KJV of Mark and John were paragraphs were inserted after their completion.

I do not condemn people based on their doctrine or customs regarding worship. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and proved it by his miracles that he performed on earth. If someone believes that there is a trinity that does not mean YHWH well condemn them to death and not be present at the resurrection of the believers.
While I believe that the painting of the Last Supper by Da Vinci was inspired by YHWH it does not mean that it is a painting by or from God. The inspiration of the books of the bible are mans attempt to understand YHWH, not speak for him.

hey everyone, i've been examining my faith and found it doesn't stand up to biblical theology.

its going to be hard since a lot family and friends will very likely repudiate me.

i have taken some steps to introduce topics to my family that will get them to analyze the wt teachings.

Most Unitarian Christians believe in one God YHWH, Jesus is the Son of God and there is a Holy Spirit. Most believe that the Bible is inspired by YHWH, but it is not the infallable word of YHWH. Besides the JW's being Unitarian there is the World Wide Church of God.
We do not condemn others for docturinal differences and traditions. IOW we are the Dixie Chicks of Christianity. ;-)

anti DoorKnocking / neo Green River Act in New England?

i saw a short piece last night on an activist group in a little town in (i believe) connecticut -.

they were trying to enact local legislation to limit door knocking.

the issue was not the jws - it was about one of those general magazine salespeople who got into some elderly ladies house and robbed & murdered her a year or two back.

There was just a case just decided by the Supreme Court that no religious or political speech can be covered by any law about knocking on the door of a private residence.
