What kind of database could the SBC have? They could only include criminal or civil convictions. Anything else would lead to libel and slander lawsuits. The best defense is to do a good background check on preachers and volunteers and train staff to watch for any problems. Also every church would have someone come in to teach the children about sexual abuse.

Your proclamation that the JW's are not Christians is absurd. Just because different Christian sects have different practices and beliefs doesn't mean they are not Christian. The JW's are a Unitarian sect of Christianity with fundamental beliefs. That doesn't mean they are bad people. it just means they are different then Catholics or baptists in their belief system. I have known wonderful JW's and jackass JW's in my life. Have you known good and bad people in other religions?

The Bible Students still exist!!

it looks like there was a split and some of the bible students never accepted that name.

i remember only funny incidents, like one brother getting up there with his zipper down.
(i knew alot of brothers after that felt no shame to actually check down there before going up on the podium!

I had never been to a kingdom hall and went on a Wednesday night wearing nice blue jeans with a very nice sweater. The looks I received from the brothers was just incredible, so I left and never bothered to come back. The next time a very nice sister came knocking on my door I had been speaking to for months I told her I was not ever going to be a JW. I don't wear ties, sorry JW's.
