Take the battery out if you are worried you are the target of the FBI or some hacker. Hackers have been able to harrass people with the advanced cell phones, especially woman that own them.

it seems that even if you turn your cell phone off, it does not deactivate the unit.
the cia and fbi can actually turn it on by remote and use it as a bug and listen in to conversations even if you just leave it sitting out in the room - or the car - or the restaurant...endless opportunities.

That fire happened at the Jehovah’s Witness church just off of Roosevelt and St. Andrews just after 2 a.m.
When crews arrived on scene, they found the building engulfed in flames, and say someone set the fire intentionally.
Witnesses say they saw what appeared to be a couple of teens, dressed in black, running away from the area of the church, just after the fire broke out.

Well I just did the home bible study so it was easy to say no thank you. The thing I noticed about the JW's is that they assert their beliefs and then justify it with some twisted scriptures from the bible. I could never get a satisfactory answer about not celebrating birthdays. Just because John the Baptist had his head cut off as part of a birthday wish doesn't justify not letting lil' Johnny from receiving a gift and cake on his Birthday.
The main thing about the JW's is everything is based on appearances. No beards for men and no slacks for women. With so many young people getting tatoos I imagine that it is going to be very hard to recruit new members.

by restrangled inthere will have to be assumptions involved here.....that god exists, the bible is the word of god and creation is as stated in genesis, etc.
etc.. in the old testament, god seemed pretty straight forward, let certain people know (and not by osmosis) his intent.
backed certain kings, and showed power through physical occurrences over and over again.. along comes his son, who died for the entire race as a ransom for adam's sin.

Safety and Bloodguilt
by WTWizard inyou may have heard about those thrill sports at the meetings.
it is wrong to go bungee jumping, sky diving, or scuba diving.
if there is a mishap, you might die (and miss out on all the thrill of going door to door preaching the same message--they might miss out on all those coming in) or get seriously injured (meaning less service, and they don't ever want to allow anyone to get away with doing less).. why would bungee jumping be so bloody dangerous that the watchtower society wants to ban it?
