Even though I swore off the six screens, I will be listening this saturday to support publishing cult and to see if Rick tries to slander my name. I heard from a friend that he had plenty to say about me on Saturday during one of his group meetings. And I was told he is deffinately NOT SORRY that my feelings were hurt.
I hear many people are fed up with Rick and are distancing themselves from him. Thats a good thing, imo.

For those observing their memorial tonight, happy memorial night! Just finished partaking in my home, did another celebration after supper tonight in honor of my Jewish Christian Friends. My husband Ray (Roc68), who just joined this forum but did not introduce himself yet, gave a nice pray over the bread and then the wine.
He also partook this year for the second time, An option he would not have been given as a Jehovah's Witness. We are now out 7 years and counting.

i have been thinking about this for a while now, and i have decided to launch a non-profit internet radio talk show centered around jw/wtbts issues and related topics that may or may not be specific to the jw religion.
long before i jumped in to the six screens controversy, i considered doing something like this, and i think i am now ready to begin.
the format will be non-sensationalist, informative, educational, rational, objective, and i want no recognition for myself, and as little attention as possible.

Sounds good. I would be interested. I hope you don't mind the Q I asked. Not trying to offend anyone, I know you are an athiest. I will listen in to anything dealing with the WT, but not anti Christian for you well know that is what I am.

You are never alone if you are in Christ. You are joined by the millions of other members of his body. This is really why I started this thread. So wherever we may be or no matter if 1 or 2 are gathered, we KNOW we are part of something much bigger than ourselves. We are part of the body of Christ, the universal church, with members all over the world. And we are united in the same spirit of the Lord.

Just finished my first memorial observance with some bible student friends from ohio. Their service was online using connect pro so no matter where you are, you can join in, listen and chat with others online too.
It was very nice I must say. I am not in agreement with all the BS beliefs but at least they allow everyone to partake! Had my bread and wine ready. Listened to a nice service about Christ, his crucification and how to carry your cross as a believer, lots of scriptures shared during this part. Also some thoughts from their Pastor Russell. I am not Russell's biggest fan but I must say nothing was read of his that I could not agree with, including a wonderful prayer he wrote about his faith.
This was followed by testimonies about God's power in people's lives. Then the memorial talk given by a brother Bill Gill. Very good job he did. His talk basically was about what a privelage it is to know Christ and be part of this church. 3 hyms were sung during the service. Lastly, we partook, said goodbyes and ended there.
Much different than the JW's do it, no rejecting of Jesus blood and body here.
Tomarrow I will be hosting a memorial observance at my home, and will be partaking again with those friends and hopefully my husband too. This will be his first year partaking, if he goes through with it. No judgeing though if he is not ready.

the evils of the watchtower org.have to be exposed and this is an ideal time to do it.
many around the world have been adversely affected by their association with jehovah's witnesses.
Rick instead of protesting, you should be able to give a witness with love to Jehovah's Witnesses. See an example of the witness I gave to two of them this memorial night here;
Now, instead of them thinking I am a whacko apostate trying to tear them down, they are actually going to return so I can share more thoughts with them. This brother who came by has been giving me magazines for months building up to this day and he felt secure enough with me to invite me to the memorial.
We had a half hour conversation and he left saying he could not judge me as not being in the body of christ, due to my not be a jw, because God can only judge that. If I stood protesting outside his kh, how far would I get to witness to him about Christ?
