Dumb ass family moved in next door with autistic kid JEHOOVER HELP!

first off i have no problem with the kid......his mum though is a dumb sh#t country trash kinda gal, just moved in.

right now i'm in my bedroom being blasted by 80's music.

she put a stereo in her tin shed which is next to our bedrooms, so her autistic kid can play loud music...or should i say, same f#cking song over and over again.

I believe you still have to train a child as to right and wrong even if they have a disability. I don't think it is insensitive to want to live in peace and not hear blasting music all day. The father of the child probably left the family because the child was out of control and the mother just gave up even trying to parent. My nephew is autistic and I know having a good routine or schedule will probably help. Also the mother should have purchased an ipod with headsets so the kid could listen to music without disturbing anyone.

i'm not sure how many of you are interested in this or how many of you have been following it, but i have been right from when i first heard about it a few years ago.. they were each sentenced 25 years and 26 years for the murder of british student meredith mercher, but after a dramatic appeal, today, they have had their sentences overturned and have been given an immediate release, because the evidence suggesting that they were guilty was not strong enough to support that verdict.. i always thought them both to be innocent, and this is true justice for the poor girl and guy after being locked up for 4 years for somehting they did not commit, however, it does still leave an unsolved riddle.... who killed meredith mercher if not these two?.

the strange thing is, amanda knox apparently originally claimed she heard screams from meredith and hid in a different room in the house whilst it happened, but that stroy had changed to "i was never there" which is what i think too, given the facts.. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3850483/amanda-knox-is-not-guilty-of-killing-meredith-kercher.html.

Amanda Knox was convicted by the media and that why the jury convicted her. We see this all the time even here in the states. Also the poor girl did not understand how to act in a conservative, Catholic country wherin most thought she was very insensitive to be kissing and hugging on her boyfriend while her dead friend layed sprawled out inside their house amidst a bloody crime scene.

I never thought she was guilty though, the dead girl was killed by a sex offender who raped her and had to kill her to protect his identity and as someone pointed out, he is already in jail for the murder.

we had an elder that was hung up on mens haircuts he had a real thing about how short mens hair should be and even told one bro off for parting his hair down the middle.. even told one bro to shave off his sideburns.. a c.o who was paronoid about sound always telling the bro in charge off.. .

a d.o who orded the attendants to remove crying babys from assemblys on more than a few occations...hans hubler for those that know him..

I agree with Mary, the mother is the problem here not the kid. I have a nephew who is autistic but he is pretty well behaved. You have to teach the kids that they cannot play music too loud because you have nieghbors, she should have trained her kid better. It sounds like she just wants him out of the house, in the shed where she does not have to listen to his noisy music. This is a cop out. You still have to train kids with disabilities.

I also have a sister with an 72 I.Q., my parents always taught her right from wrong and gave her consistant discipline. She is 39 now and highly functioning.

Do you tell people?

as an ex-jw do you tell people about your jw past?

how much detail do you go into when you tell non-jw's about the organization.

i usually only ever say anything if somebody asks about my religious affiliation or mentions jw's.

I almost never tell anyone because I've been out almost 8 years now and have a totally new set of friends and acquaintances. The only time I mention the JW's is if they come up in conversation because of calling on a friend of mine and then I simply tell them what I know about their beliefs, but without mentioning I was one.

I agree with everyone. I now look forward to the weekends, I used to dread them back in the day. Drudgery is the perfect term for field service. I always felt bad taking my kids out early in the morning after they got up early all week for school. Eventually, I started giving them one Sat a month off so they could just watch cartoons and stay in their pjs. Of course I didn't dare tell any of the other sisters what I was doing or they would have judged me as spiritually weak.

Towards the last year we were in, we hardly ever went out in service. Me and the kids that is. My husband went out alone but 3 months after I stopped going altogether with the kids, he stopped too. We are out almost 8 years now and still LOVE our weekends to relax.

In Hingham MA congregation, the elders would not let a brother carry the microphone unless he had a jacket. Even if it were 90 degrees and the air conditioner was broken.

And one time one of the elder's wives (an elderess) counseled me about my daughter's loud choice of dress color. My daughter was about 9 or 10 at the time. Actually what she said I am sure was a bit racist. She said "boy, with those colors you can sure tell your daughter is half puerto rican". Then she explained that too bright a color was flashy and would bring reproach on Jehovah's name???

I was like WTF? and of course I ignored her and continued to allow my daughter to wear whatever the hell she wanted!
