I remember some years ago we would have the Memorial and some nut case would show up every year and partake of the emblems of course we would look on in disbelief and talk about the crazy person for months thereafter. Never realizing that we were the nuts sitting there listening to a boring a&s talk and then watching the bread and wine be passed around. That was our one big event every year where we all get new suits and dresses and get all made up for this one extra meeting in the week. You would think they would let us exchange gifts on that day or have parties maybe decorate the house or something because this is it the one date we circle on the calendar as a special day. Oh yeah there was another brother I knew who partook of the emblems every year he was really zealous but other than that there wasn't anything really special about him other than he was really old. He wasnt even an elder or anything just really, really old so many people said he was anointed but I always had my doubts of course now I have doubts about all of them. Actually I dont think any of those brainwashing, family destroying, threatening, controlling, sons of B&*$#s are going anywhere.

For me it was terrible growing up not knowing anything about Christmas morning or a birthday cake or Halloween candy Easter egg hunts none of it never experienced any of it. And it is a great big load of crap that kids do not miss it I absolutely did miss it. It was very very depressing to watch the kids playing outside riding their brand new bikes or throwing their new footballs or wearing their new coats or new sneakers while I was looking foolish with nothing. I wouldnt DARE do to my kids what was done to me. I dont want my children to go through for one second all the emotions and resentment and hurt I went through on a regular basis.

ok speaking of wounds/scrapes whatever check this out I was having a discussion with my mother some time ago about my anger with the organization about their stance on college and how it adversely affected my adult life. I make a good living but I work hard too. Anyway she with a straight face ( I assume as we were talking on the phone) tells me the society has changed their view on the matter and even Elder tyrant the same prick who used to give talks discouraging getting an education was sending his children to college. My response was changed view or not the ahole shouldn't be sending his kids to school just on mere principal since he screwed with so many childrens futures. Of course she would have none of that.

Was brought to the JC several times first was when I was about 16 lied my way out of it every time then finally fessed up the last time. Went to a couple meetings since and vowed I will never step foot in a KH again unless my mother or one of my sisters leave this world b4 me. Still upset at my mother after all these years for letting someone talk her into ruining my childhood but I digress. Very interesting topics on here.

I used to think it would be the worst thing in the world to be DF'd because the Org was all I knew I was raised a JW and kept away from everything a child would want like everyone else. I hid all my wrongdoing because I was afraid of being caught and hearing my name read from the platform. Well it finally happened and my only regret is that I didn't have enough courage to walk away when I was a young teenager and not a 30 something man. When I had time to reflect on it I came up with this think about it. You ever hear stories of women who were severely abused by their husbands/boyfriends? Their stories are all the same first they were isolated from family and close friends made to think they were unworthy and deserving of all the mental turture and when they thought about leaving the firs tthing that comes to mind is what will I do I have noone to turn to. I severed all ties to anyone who would care. Stay no part of the world even keep contact with nonbelieving family to a bare minimum. However the threat hanging over your head at all times is to be thrown out to that very same world that you've been tought to shun all those years. Don't educate yourself dont strive for a high paying job get a job cleaning toilets part time so you can pioneer. Now you have to stay in the organization and depend on the kindness of brothers and sisters to give you a couple bucks whenever they feel sorry for you or give you a hand me down coat when they buy themselves a new one because how in the hell are you going to make it on your own working part time cleaning toilets with no education and no work history.

whats up with that is it so that the elders can see who's there and who isnt.
that would blow my scam from way back when i would maybe make one half of one day and tell people i made all 4 days.

The congregation with the most pioneers gets the best seats?? What if you meet a hot chick from another congregation can you sit with her or do you have to wait till intermission to hold her hand. And where do visiters and DFers sit? With the congregation that invited/DFed them?? what about witnesses that missed their convention?? Anyway any light that can be shed will be appreciated

Ok I've been away for many many years I think I'm going to go to a Big 4 day Assembly this year for old time's sake. I have several questions. First of all what color are the food tickets this year? I looked through some of my old J.W. junk and found some old food tickets they are green and if the tickets are say orange this year I guess I'm screwed. How much is that tasty hoagie now? I believe it was 10 tickets the last time I was at an assembly. I cant wait to get that chicken sandwich on 1 piece of bread or the frozen pudding my mouth is watering. If anybody has any old watchtowers they aren't using please send them to me so I can save seats for my buddies they say they might try to join me at least one of the days but I dont know which one so if I save 10 seats each day I should be covered. Are there still going to be a drama every day I love the Bible costumes the props all that stuff it takes me back. How much extra money do I have to bring for the new books and brochures that are coming out. A brochure was about 35 cents a book 1.50 I'm sure that's gone up by now. I really didn't realize how out of touch I am so I appreciate any help anyone can give me.
