A plea for the silent lambs
by mikepence inin early march of this year, in the echoes of uncertainty left after the horror of 9-11, just one year after i had nearly died myself from a massive, still unexplained, seizure, i determined that i wanted to be a writer.
there were so many things i wanted to write about, my head swirled with possibilities.

How Many Here Have Been Shunned?
by Reborn2002 inas most of you already know, the jehovah's witnesses are covering an article in their august kingdom ministry to be discussed the weeks of 8/19 and 8/26 which details how they are to shun and avoid those who are no longer members of their organization, even immediate family members.. .
undoubtedly this article has been written to reinforce to the rank&file jehovah's witnesses the shunning policy, so as to tighten the ranks and prevent members from having the opportunity to learn the abundant contradictions and hypocrisies found within watchtower doctrine and practice from any who may have left.. this policy also serves to divide families and attempt to shame or abuse those whom have chosen to no longer be jehovah's witnesses, for whatever reason.. that much is obvious.
in recent days this topic has been discussed in detail in various threads.

I have never been shunned because I was never baptized......I can understand why the "shunned" are hurt by not being able to see the children or grandchildren in their families.
as for adults that shun a family member or friend because they're told to, and not feel in their heart that something is wrong with that, I would never miss the company of such a spineless person.
some people can do no more with their lives than follow..............

yes, their brains have been washed over with stories of everlasting life and youth, in the mean time my Witness family attend funeral after funeral of those who I heard, as a kid, talking about how Armaggeddon was sooooo close they just had to keep pioneering.
