  Will silentlambs Be DF???

  well now we have it, what appears to be the pre-emptive strike from wt.. as of this friday three families who appeared on the dateline program have been informed judicial committees have been setup with a one week notice and it is alleged that they have been causing "divisions" within the organization.

  i got my letter today, barbara anderson got hers yesterday and the other family earlier this week.. if you were a pr firm would you think it to be a good idea or a bad idea to df everyone a couple of weeks before the dateline program airs?

  what do you think the american public will think of such a move?.

  I think it's a very bad move for the WTS's lawyers....They must be JW's...dumb...dumb....dumb.....(no offense) unless their PR made the move.....dumb....dumb....dumb....in fact, dumb and dumber......good for the df'ed....I mean on "what date" was any of the above's "DF hearing" on? On what date was any of the above's Dateline taping on? OHHHH.......so their TAPING was WAY before their disfellowshipping hearing? Why was that? What was the reason for the disfellowshipping? OHHHHHH? REALLY? Well, why weren't they disfellowshipped WAAAAY before the Dateline taping? So, let me get this straight.... in the case of the NJ molestation, this victim's family was inactive for YEARS without a scheduled DF meeting, but then, mere weeks before the airing of "Dateline," and of course after this family gave an interview to Dateline, the Watchtower Society decides it should SUDDENLY investigate allegations of apostasy on the part of this NJ family. And, this other brother and sister have been in good standing with the church for, how many years? Then, coincidentally, both this brother and sister, whom were both involved with SilentLambs, out of the blue, were both disfellowshipped, for, let me get this straight, having something to do with protecting the victims of child molestation? Sounds good WTS............Great PR..........

  i have heard that argument from the jw's since i was a child - i still hear it from my family.. now that i am out it seems like such a silly argument.

  in fact, you could liken it to someone in an abusive marriage for years.

  they're used to the situation and somewhat frightened at the thought of change.

  damn you, damn you......here I was, making my way thru "postville," determined not to post, especially while drinking wine, and I had to "backscroll" to your thread......my JW brother said the same thing to me a couple of weeks ago, "you don't leave with no where to go, nothing out there is any better." I don't really understand this logic, and I'm, quite frankly, surprized that this thread exists...It's weird, at least to me, that this argument is one that people even come up with.....I thought that my brother was the only one.(Reason for the sudden "backscroll") What I said to him, (though now I have to remember what MEGA said), is that when I was married to my previous husband and he did something that just blew me away, I just knew that I could not continue with him anymore....Once someone loses their trust in another, is there really any future together? Not for me, as I told my brother, I didn't know what I was going to do, the only thing I knew for sure was that I could not continue on with someone who had lied to me.....it's like "I have enough faith in myself to know that I'll be ok, and I'd rather be alone for the rest of my life than to spend it with a liar." It's so bizarre that people feel that they have to have a place to go before they can get out of a liar's house.....personally, I'd rather sleep in a park.....I'd go to a shelter, I'd do whatever I had to do in order to escape a liar......so, if these people, like some spoiled housewife (which I am now) need a place to go before they'll leave a liar, tell them to go within their own heart.......if that's not enough to convince them, nothing is......

  OUR LAWYER'S LETTER TO WATCHTOWER & THERE R...

  when an elder called us to "invite" us to the kh to meet with them to question us regarding accusations of apostasy, while another elder sneakily sat on another line as a "second witness", we, after not being active for several years, having no contact with anyone in the congregation, we felt their phone call was harrassing.

  we called our lawyers who drew up a letter that say:.

  watchtower bibel & tract society.

  "***accusations of apostasy".....This organization has got to be one of the most moronic, asinine acts around.....aren't they themselves apostates and promoters of apostasy? Bring this to their attention in their little "meeting." They love scripture, supposedly, so point out Romans 16:17, which says:

  "I appeal to you brethren, to take note of those who create dissensions and difficulties, in opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught; avoid them." 16:18 goes on to say "...and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded." RSV

  The living-dead will most likely claim this means to avoid "APOSTATES," but, at least according to the RSV Bible, it does not mention apostates, it says those that are in "opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught." Doesn't this mean that a Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, should "avoid" the JW at the door who is in "opposition to the doctrine" which the Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, at the door has been taught? Aren't all JWs that go "door to door" trying to convince people that they should "abandon" their religion, really promoting apostasy? They are in fact, trying to persuade these people to become apostates!
  According to Webster's:
  apostasy: renunciation or abandonment of a previous loyalty, as to one's religious faith.
  Therefore, even if this moronic organization inserted "apostate" in the above scripture, there's no getting around that any JW who abandoned a previous faith in order to become a JW, is an apostate.....Therefore, they have alot of df'ing to do. Also, any JW that participates in "field-service," is promoting apostasy.....

  ask the members of the little meeting if they were "born" JWs, or if they are apostates........
  I wouldn't worry about this moronic society, the "wordly" people will see it for what it is, especially if they df you for reporting molestation! and who really cares what the JW's think...(gosh, do they think?)

  In answer to your question, yes alot of us do what we can....but it's not enough....if you want to do something, write a letter and mail it to like 100 of the major newspapers' editors....Newspapers keep saying "nobody is really interested in Jehovah's Witnesses." But they, as journalists, have an obligation to inform people of topics that affect their lives. People can talk until they're blue in the face on these websites, but until they open their mouths to the media, noone knows what's going on. Most of the people on these websites already KNOW that the WTS are hypocritical morons. Unfortunately, the JW's that SHOULD know, won't check out these sights, and the remainder of the population isn't really affected enough to care. It's sad, but true. You, by writing just one or two letters to your local editors, could help just one person close their door on a JW's face, you would be helping. We on this forum, instead of uniting, are just arguing and giving the trolls information....
