Another Watchtower Lie?

"the assertion has been made that jehovah's witnesses take no action when an allegation of child abuse comes to the attention of the elders unless the accusation is verified by two separate witnesses, and that's just simply not true.".
page 108 and 109 of the pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock (elders manual), contains the following instructions:.

This means that a Witness could Aassociate with HIM, a convicted child molester, but NOT with the father in Calgary that is trying to sustain his daughter's life.....

"There must be EITHER two witnesses or a confession of wrongdoing."
(Emphasis added)In order to disfellowship, or believe the victim?
Didn't the WTS acknowledge on "Dateline" that if a JW "confessed" to wrongdoing that he would be forgiven and not disfellowshipped?
I even wonder what they would do in the HIGHLY UNLIKELY EVENT in which there WERE two witnesses and the molester confessed to a problem and repented?
You would think that if this organization had, out of ALL the alleged molestations, NOT ONE SINGLE CASE ON FILE in which there WERE two witnesses to a molestation, they would be responsible enough to realize that this policy is in dire need of a "reality check."

JWs' Letter to Dateline
by jschwehm ini just got a copy of the society's letter to dateline as to why they would not agree to an on-camera interview.. they said that since dateline told them that most of the people that they were interviewing considered themselves active jws, that for the headquarters to make a statement that it would make it appear as though "brother" was speaking out against "brother".
and that a nationally televised program was not the appropriate forum for them to work out their differences.
(this is interesting since the pandelos and barb have been dfed, haven't they?).

Thank you for taking the time to share your insight.It's scary to think of the victims that have remained silent since they were children. They will have to listen in silence if the subject of the "apostates" on dateline comes up...
that, or face disfellowshipping.....as the WTS says, "What a loving arrangement...."

Barbara Anderson Disfellowshipped
by silentlambs inas of 1 pm today barb anderson was notified that she has been disfellowshipped in writing by the judicial committee in her congregation.
barb was df in absentia at a second hearing that was declared after she successfully defended herself against charges in the first hearing.
home office came back with further instructions to make it stick the second time around.

a warning e-mail from a friend about dateline.....
by noidea intuesday's dateline will deal with the child abuse charges against the witnesses in pa., the one that was in a dallas morning news story a week or so ago.
however, in sundays closing talk at terrell, bro.
strahly said " keep in mind , these are apostates and that christians would want to avoid viewing that program.

did they make an announcement at all the halls?
a "sister" that stopped by here last week seemed oblivious to the Daeline thing. I say this because she was going on about "molestation" by gays (!!) and how it was a sign of the end.
ANYWAY...the same "sister" stopped by today, and right before she left I asked her if the Witnesses were going to be a topic of Dateline's ..(I wanted to make her aware of the show)
I was SHOCKED when she answered:
"yes, it's on tonight...something about a incest case or something. But you're going to have that everywhere."If they made an annoucement, then my JW family is aware of it....

my family, whom i love, is comprised of jehovah's witnesses.
i was never baptised, as anything, but attended meetings for years, until i turned eighteen.

that kid is scary, can you imagine what this religion is going to be like in about fifty years? there will be less and less "recruits" and the adults that were raised in the "truth," like that kid, are going to be a small cult of intolerant members.
like posters have pointed out, some JW's view of "worldly" people is, in alot of ways, not unlike bin laden's view of Americans....
