I was thinking the same thing as other commenters - no one is suffering like the first century christians. If a person today lives in a country where the JW are banned, persons need to obey the government where they live, or leave (if they can). Its JW policy and rules that have caused millions of JWs suffering in our modern day. And, it is not suffering when you are bothering your neighbor every Saturday with magazines that they have already refused. JWs are truly lofty in their own minds.

by purplesofa ini hope that some of you lurkers out here really take a look at some of the thread in this section of the board.
this awake magazine says not one thing about how families are asked to trust their elders and how these very elders were and are abusing their children.
it mentions nothing about watching out for these trusted men in the congregations.............oh it brings out the internet, other family members and fathers and males in particular.. it will tell you how much your child needs to do to prevent something like this from happening.

As usual another society/cult publication that upsets me. Yes, I agree with other commenters, no mention of what to do, the follow through. It speaks of a family being aware, teaching a child to be aware, but then what? No mention of congregation elders, no mention of police, social workers, any punishment for the wrongdoer, any pursuing of legal action. Again, I guess JWs just wait on god and too bad for the victims. Let the molestors continue to go free.

Thank you for posting another excellent analysis of the WA. This is exactly the type of article that began unravelling the cobwebs in my brain of being born in this cult and my mind starting to clear. How is this a hope for the future? And why do the majority choose "free will" yet it ends in death by a loving god?? I swear I have heard from the KH platform how great Jah is for killing all these wicked people, including the women, children, infants - yes - doesn't that equate with the "civilians" killed in our modern times from various military conflicts? My head is spinning.

JWs have made all their great proclamations to themselves and people sitting in living rooms across the country. These judgments against the Catholic church have resulted in nothing. No one has paid any attention, or even knows about these JW judgments. They are great in their own mind. Whenever you look at real history books about government are the JWs ever listed at all as having any impact?? Not that I know of. I guess I can sit in someone's house for a book study and proclaim judgment against anything I want, does it matter? Does it impact anyone except those poor souls trapped in the book study? No.

I am totally fascinated by the "source" mentioned - thanks for exposing this about the WA society. There is so much to this WA study I am still digesting the material - but I guess one minor point is, if I'm poor, its my fault for coveting the rich men in Brooklyn that have millions to pay off victims of abuse who are sitting on millions in real estate holdings. Or I am at fault for coveting the wealthy JWs in my area driving the much needed Corvette (?) JWs have gone mainstream and hopefully are leaving this religion that has proved false to its power.

Thank you for another excellent review and analysis of the WT study.
I wonder if the people sitting in KH's notice an entire article saying that the JW membership is "depressed, anxious, grieving, bi-polar, physically disabled, mentally disabled", isn't that a giant red flag to get out of the JW religion??
I also love the fact JWs need the "watchtower" or a "32-page book" to cope with life. The Bible is not mentioned or its put aside on a table, with the watchtower publication as the focus.
Giant message to all still inside - get out before its too late for you and your family/children.

My dad was an elder. The rule at the time was an actual case of a father molesting his own daughter is "ok" because he confessed and is working on it. Since the girl was underage, the elders did not care. The matter was kept private as a family matter. Two teens having sex is a great JW crime that could result in unwanted pregnancy and the whole hall knew their crimes and the teens publicly reproved or disfellowshipped. Insane, right?
Regarding the KN tract, the JW might remove the man as an elder - once the matter became public. The catholics supposedly keep them in office as priests.
I know, JWs have their own circular reasoning, they are always superior, and they are always insane.

Calling all ELDERS
by The Oracle inif you are an elder who frequents this site, please let me know.. i am trying to connect (completely anonymously - your privacy is assured) with as many elders as i can.
i know that there are hundreds of elders in the same position as myself (have had our awakening and have come to realize that "the truth" is a sham).. i encourage you to continue to serve as an elder and for you to work together with other like minded elders as a collective force for true good.
there is much we can do from the inside to help the cause.. there are thousands and indeed millions of kind and honest hearted people whose only crime is that they have allowed themselves to be deceived and are still active jws.

I left about a year ago, and I also think the best way to influence this cult is by simply leaving. Try speaking with family and friends on a personal level. However, a drop in numbers and in dollars is the only way to affect them. I do support those that are in a position to publicly speak out, through lawsuits, or whatever means, to further expose this religion as just a bunch of men living off our hard earned dollars, that have put themselves in the place of Jesus.
