Even better Terry, he just said he feels sorry for the Governing Body who have to deal with people trying to over complicate things! ... ...

Allowed blood products by %, from KM 06, how can a JW not see thru this
by jwfacts ini have just put together a table with percentages that highlights quite simply what a jw can and can not have.
the wts does not present it in this simple format, as graphically it is quite obvious how senseless their stand is.

I've been talking to a JW over the past few days about blood, and the stuff I've learned from this site. Though I approached it from the viewpoint of a confused JW who wants help understanding, so I can't tell him how unscriptural it actually is.
He's been in lots of contact with a Hospital Liason Committee member, who has been of little help. Lots of cognitive dissonance going on, the best being when he said that Jehovah might be testing us to see how dedicated we are to his blood laws after I pointed out that extracting blood components from blood is like refusing to eat a pizza whole, but then cutting it into little parts to eat it, an illustration I got off this site. I thought this was a perfect example of creating a new thought when he realises that something doesn't make sense... Though when I pointed out the folly of stating that Jehovah would test us, he got all defensive and said I misunderstood what he said... He's just given up and said 'We seem to be going round in circles, and I don't think we're ever going to understand it, I think we should just leave it and...' [now here comes that ultimate JW loophole] '...wait on Jehovah to clear it up for us.' -

Hi Daystar, Yeah, I guess I'm not that patient! If it ever finishes, and the ending is highly rated, I might buy it all on DVD, but I'm currently expecting millions of worldwide Lost viewers to be shouting at the Television screen after the rubish ending!

Nothing ever happens in Lost. It's the slowest program I've ever known.

Abstaining from blood is mentioned in the main bible study book 'What does the bible really teach?' so they don't seem to be fading it out yet.

What went on in Mexico and Malawi is undeniable proof that the Society care more about buildings and money than they do people. In Malawi it was required by law that each person buy a 25c Party Card. The Witnesses in Malawi were told by the Society they could not buy these under any circumstances. By following the Society, individuals in Malawi were beaten and raped because of their refusal. The Society constantly went on about this in the publications and Witnesses were asked to send protest letters to the Malawi president about the persecution. However, the Witnesses weren't told about what was going on in Mexico. In Mexico, you were allowed to preach and do all religious activity, but there was one law, that no religious community could not own a building. Therefore, any Kingdom Hall would be owned by the Government. Other religions found no problem with this, many churches continued to be used for preaching, but they were not owned by the religious authorities. The Society couldn't accept this, so they did not allow Mexican members to sing songs or pray at meetings, or used the bible in Field Service. This therefore convinced the Mexican authorities that the organisation was a cultural organisation, and the Society were allowed to keep their buildings. There was a problem though, Mexico had compulsory military service. Something the Society does not allow under any circumstances. However, the Society couldn't have their cultural Organisation members refusing to do this Service in the name of religion. Then they might lose their buildings. So, they allowed the members to bribe authorities to gain a certificate that said they had completed the Military Service. This is something that they refused to allow many other members in other countries to do, and at the same time refused to let Malawi Members to buy party cards, because in these cases, it didn't benefit them to allow it, so they didn't care.

Thanks for the quote headmath.
It's the same with the scripture in Luke 21:8 where Jesus tells us to stay away from people who say the time is near, that doesn't apply to them either! -

Grand and Lesser Apostate Delusions
by slimboyfat inwhat is it makes some of those wacky apostates appear from time to time claiming russell and the witnesses were/are all part of some great freemason/illuminati plot?
i'll tell you what it is, and it may explain a few other things for you too!
people who come up with these theories demonstrate a basic psychological insecurity stemming from their involvement and subsequent disentanglement from the witnesses.

This was my viewpoint. Until I found out about the Mexico/Malawi issues.
You can't look into that and deny that the leaders of the Watchtower Organisation care more about money (buildings) than they do about their members.
