I am very disturbed to see your message. That came off of a private women's only website word for word. I think if this girl had known it was going to be broadcast further she never would have written that message.

Although you did not use her name, I know her very well and she would be outraged to know it went any further.

My point being a name was divulged which could be traced back to her. Please in the future, use your own words.

I don't think they deny the fact that this is how it works, and it can easily be proven.
It definitely stretches the meaning of "justice." I posted a quote from Churchill earlier:
The power of the executive to cast a man into prison without formulating any charge known to the law, and particularly to deny him the judgment of his peers, is in the highest degree odious, and the foundation of all totalitarian government whether Nazi or Communist.
By definition with this heirarchical judicial system, there is no judgement of peers. It is dictatorial by definition. It's a parody of mismatched ideas from the Jewish law code and from inferrences they've made from Acts and various insane things Paul said.

If he didn't see this coming, he's particularly naïve. This is how the Society treats all CO's/DO's at the end of their natural existences--why do you think so many do it for so long before retiring, usually with severe health problems? Because they know this will happen to them.

Same thing happened in the Portland, OR area recently. In this case the circuit stepped up to the plate and housed him and cared for his needs out of their own pocket. The Society certainly isn't going to do a damn thing about it.

They should have asked about the retirement plan before signing their life away.

I don't have a lot of time to post today, but I wanted to share this Churchill quote I found to resonate strongly in regards to the Witness "judicial system." Certainly there are charges formulated... but is there any judgement of peers? Of course not. Is the Watchtower a totalitarian system, within its own bounds? You betcha.

I think that watchtower.cc is quite a site, though it's entirely aggregation and not new content. That is not necessarily a bad thing--it's mostly a clearinghouse of stuff other people have developed and written. I just thought it was funny and kind of an offhanded compliment that he chose to duplicate so much of JWD's forum structure.

Mine are much younger. I had a tough time even sending them to school! I have no idea how hard it will be to send them off to drive, or raft on a river, or backpack with friends, or college (gasp! college...) Bad things happen every day. I keep telling myself that you just have to hope for the best and realize that any control over their lives, any protection you thought you gave them, was really an illusion anyways. Just relax and take each event as it comes. That's what I keep telling myself, anyways.
