  Computer Game Recommendations

  okay, i used to be the guy with all the latest gadgets in fact i was the first bethelite i knew to get a personal internet account and the first to upgrade to a 14.4 modem (dating myself eh!!).

  but for the past couple of years i haven't upgraded my home pc.

  it has been primarily for my home based businesses (email, word, excel and powerpoint type stuff and casual browsing) so my faithful p2, 10 gig hard drive and cd reader (only) has been sufficient, but damn it i want to be able to do more!

  Good current PC games:
  * Civilization IV is just simply awesome. Not to be missed. One more turn, one more turn.
  * Rome: Total War is an excellent both strategic and tactical warfare game.
  * The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - great open-ended RPG with hundreds of hours of gameplay.
  * Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, or (especially) San Andreas. They are highly immoral and controversial though so don't get them if you don't want a caricaturized vision of 90's inner city gang warfare. And don't say I didn't warn you.
  * If you want an MMORPG it's hard to go wrong with World of Warcraft. But it's addictive and it has a monthly fee.

  as much as i love reading what you all have to say, i must be gone for a few.

  my wife has this crazy idea that she needs to go to the district convention.

  what a life we unbelieving mates (ubms) have, eh?.

  Auld, if you've not patched your Oblivion yet, have you tried the watermelon duping bug? There's this bug where you can shoot a watermelon with an arrow in a certain way and just millions of watermelons will pour out of the original one in a huge flood until your game eventually crashes. People have posted videos of it. It's awesome.
  Other fun things to try in Oblivion:
  * Become a vampire as soon as possible (join the Dark Brotherhood is one good way), and try to "finish" the main quest that way.
  * Get that spell that makes people go berserk. Go downtown in one of the cities. Cast it on as many people as you can find.
  * Close every Oblivion gate
  That game has so many possibilities...

  For anyone who was wondering, I whipped this up to show why Jehovah's Witnesses seem somewhat similar to Seventh-Day Adventists. The link to Baptists is somewhat tenuous but Miller was a Baptist so it seemed appropriate. Also keep in mind that while Second Adventists are often referred to as Millerites, Miller just kinda said what a lot of people all over the world were already thinking--he was just the movement's biggest champion.

  hello i have an mp3 file i wish to have uploaded to the net.. can someone recommend a site that is porn free> the last thing i want is for a jw to go to the site to listen to the mp 3 and see porn right off.. alternatively, can someone host this, let me know.

  i (obviously) live in america and i'm a big fan of beer.

  light, dark, lager, ale, whatever.

  My wife almost exclusively drinks Black Butte Porter, as dark and smoky as the day is long.

  In order of greatness:

  1. Chimay Grande Réserve
  2. Bridgeport IPA
  3. Black Butte Porter

  You can't go wrong with those, but they're not for beginners.
