When did 'shunning' really 'kick in' in the Org?

There was a roumor when I was in that apostates formed a religion called the New Jehovahs Witnesess. This group was supposed to follow the 'real' ones in the ministry and showed up at the doors just visited so as to spread lies. What I find interesting is that they asume the apostates would form an organisation in the same pattern as the jworg. fts

he said that while jesus was praying to god just before his arrest he was praying that he die in a different situation.

My recollection of this is, when Jesus prayed "to let the cup pass" the question raised was, did he loose faith in the night he was sweating blood? So to show that it was not a lack of faith the explanation is he didn’t want to bring reproach upon Jehovah’s name through dieing as a criminal. This is not new light. fts

Why not go, if you want to see your brother give a talk? If you’re not planning to go to the BBQ, why not leave after the WT study? It wouldn’t get their hopes too high. fts
