The german government does not encourage pedophilia. The author of the brochure says that some sentences taken out of context can be misunderstanding. The brochure has been available for six years and was praised and recommended by specialists and parents. Editing work is being done in order to change the wordings which caused upset. The purpose of the brochure is to educate parents on the sexuality of children.

A case was filed and later dropped due to the evidence.

I haven't read the brochure myself, but doubt that a public call for child abuse supported by the government would work in germany or any other country I know. fts

Watchtower articles on Muslim religion? Are they afraid to speak out?

can anybody quote any articles which speak out against the radical muslim terrorists?.

the watchtower made its reputation in the 1900's slamming catholicism and christendom.

surely you'd expect them to lash out against the muslim extremes.. or, are they afraid to do so?.

Dont know if they have done so until now, in my time the wt didn't write much about Mormons or what I know as born again christians. When I had encounters in the ministry, I tried to do research, but found nothing in the index.
Apart from the two books mentioned, the only other material I can remember regarding isalm is a small green brochure "Time for submission to god"(? or similar)

the koran and the bible says to do the same acts of violence to anyone who worships a different god.. deuteronomy 13:6-8, it reads: "if thy brother, the son of thy mother.

or thy son, or thy daughter, or thy wife of thy bosom.

or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, let us go and serve other gods which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; (7) namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth unto the other end of the earth (8) thou shalt not consent unto him, nor harken unto him; neither shalt thou conceal him (9) but thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people.

well, even those within the same religion can understand their god differently. I don't believe in god, but if there really is one, I still wouldn't want to worship, since so much badness for sooo long has no justification.
To me having faith in god is wishful thinking due to fear of death, put in a nutshell. So no matter what religion, it is the same thing -wishful thinking. The way they see or explain god differs. Sadly many are ready to die and kill for these differences. fts

yep, couldn't believe i actually got him on the phone.

he asked who it was and i just gave a fake name and sounded official.

i finally asked his thoughts on the 1914 date and how that teaching seems to be expiring.

As far as I know, suicide killing is condemned in the Koran... the only biblical example I can think of is Samson. He purposely killed himself and as many as he could of the Philistines.
I think almost all worship the same god, but just understand him differently.

Well, another mind-reading example is often found in the literature when the FDS knows what bible characters, like John writing the rev, are thinking, reasoning and feeling, and also what they are are motivated by when receiving visions or doing other things.

three years ago, the buzz was "its just around the corner".. two years ago, it was "almost at the door".. one year ago it was "at the threshold".. now the watchword is "the door of the ark is closing".. could it be that the new "members only" publications will now isolate a small inner core of this group?

what do you think will be the outcome?

hi.. just wondering what it was that first made you realise that jws didnt have the absolute "truth"?

was there a specific event/turning point for you or was it a moment of enlightenment?.

It is actually many many things, but most of all the lack of love... there are nice people among jws, but most of them are fighting each other in some way or the other... even using the wt study or other meetings as battle fields...

Dont know, one day I just allowed myself to question things and the many doubts and disappointments came together.

Wow!! Could be he has been doing some research himself. As PO he is the main person the org communicates with. I'd love to hear how that continues!

Does the WTS teach that Jehovah is only "Heavenly Father" to the 144k?

i don't know if it is my imagination or what, but i've started to notice something odd in recent wts literature (besides all the other odd things): .

i am struggling to find any mention in recent watchtower articles and publications of jehovah being referred to as the "heavenly father" of jehovah's witnesses!

for example, in the upcoming october 22-28 watchtower study article entitled "your father is merciful" (quoting from luke 6:36), god is not once referred to as "heavenly father" throughout the entire article!

I remember a WT study a long time ago and there it was said that that Jesus is the mediator onlyof the 144k and that Jehovah is father to the 144k. Only by extension does the great crowd receive the blessings, that is only if they obey the FDS's organisation on earth. It was as Gopher posted.

What comes to mind, is the change or "new light" regarding "Approved Associates" not being approved by jah until water baptism thereby being recognized as 'sons of god'. So the title was changed to "Unbabtized Publisher". I think this new light came before the light about jah being the father of only the 144k.

What I do remember is feeling disappointed during both those wt studies.
