then the society ordered that no one make private recordings of assembly parts, audio or video.

was this ever a published request, say in the km?

Sixofnine: no, certainly not. I had a long conversation about this with my father, because I found it strange. But its nice to see Blondie is having fun! :-) Elders were to take notes during the school as can be seen here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/8/122629/1.ashx But just like they were told to destroy delicate congregation records, were they told not to write down delicate wt-instructions? I dont mean to high jack this thread.

BB, my father first used the white booklet “Shepherds of the flock”(?) I dont remember it having the large margins like the Pay Attention. I certainly remember him telling me about the “no notes”. Could it be that elders were instructed not to take notes during certain sections of the school? Or not to write down special instructions (“make sure no police is called in cases of paedophilia!”)? It must have been around 1988 the year I got baptised.

Another thing he told me was he told me that the DO, Co and Service committee had to give there ok in order for an elder to attend. He said, not all elders were invited. I mentioned the “no notes” because the topic reminded me of those instructions. Ha also mentioned the among the instructors were bethel-representatives! So I believe it was official...

oompa: No notes, no recordings, no video tapeing! These were the instructions my father received for this elders schooling late 80ties. In fear of satans apostates. I thought that was the rule for all elder schoolings. Was that the same you received? fts

Wow, I dont have that km, but that I know was the rule for elders schooling! No tapes, no notes! All because of evil people like you! ;-)

007, I know you are having a lot of communication with other posters. But since you stated, you almost lost your job over this, I would like to know if you think my suggestion would be of any help? I strongly believe this issue should be made public and it will help your colleges to understand what's going on. If you boss knows your an ex-jw, believe me, all will know about it. Why not use this as an opportunity to clarify things and in addition do good by exposing, which means protecting. Dont forget, rumours have long roots! What do you think? How will your workmates react?fts

announcement at service meeting last night

last nite at my parents service meeting an announcement was made regarding the new triple meeting.

they said that no one can go over their allotted time at all during the tms.

if the bell rings you are to stop immediately- not even finishing your sentence.
