Child preachers - I find this very disturbing
by freetosee ini believe young children are often capable of much more then we imagine.
these preacher children are surly very talented.
as much as i find them ever so cute, i find it disturbing how their parents use them to further their own religious ambitions.. .

I wouldn't mind to be wrong. Maybe I'm just reflecting on my own experience. In front of the congregation we were the "happy family" (we were actually called that). As soon as we stepped into the car it was a very different story.

I agree, it is child abuse!!!
Some of them are so professional and adult it is scary.
Wonder how it will effect their future lives.
Being nowhere near as talented as these kids are, I doubt they preform to that quality without strong parental pressure guidance.
I'll never forget the beatings I got, because of not reading certain words correctly for my bible reading. -

Most JWs Lack Bible Knowledge - How Can They Teach What they know not

when i am with any group of people today, except seminary students, i know far more stories and obscure ones, too.
after i left, i went on a tour of the cathedral in ny.

Sadly their limited bible knowledge and wt training is enough to convert people.
They don't teach the bible. They teach wt propaganda while using a set of key scriptures.fts

@lamallcool: Just because someone does not exist does not mean you don't hear stories about them. So I think it is very likely that the johnny story will continue to be told. There are many stories about fictitious persons. Nothing in those stories ever happened, since they are not true stories.

Interesting, last week he says that he can change his voice and manner of speech so that not even his family and friends can recognize him. And now he is saying that he does not care if he gets found out, while continuing to speak in exactly the same way he did right from the beginning.
If I remember correctly, first it was said that Rick uses a voice muffler in order to disguise johnnys voice. Then johnny had his own voice-changer. Right or not?
I wonder, if we will soon hear a dramatic story about how johnny got interrogated, threatened and kicked out of bethel.

..recently I had a discussion with a guy from the New Apostolic Church and that is just what he said.
"Not believing in god is just a belief too.You can not prove there is no god."
"You reject god!"
I told him that I can not reject something that does not exist. If anything, I reject the belief in god.

I really like how he told the elders that they are in a bubble and not able to answer questions directly from the bible. I think that will hunt them more then showing them any scripture. By repeatedly going into the meta level he kept holding a mirrow infrot of them.
Wonder what age those two elders are?
