We had a brother who worked for trim line. A number of brothers worked for him, including myself. He made good money and his business is still running today (just checked it on the internet).

Rick Fearon should apologise for accusing faders of being cowards
by cedars ini hate doing this type of thread.
none of us are perfect, least of all myself, and i would rather focus any criticism on the watch tower society for damaging people's lives.
however, in the short period since i've been a member of this forum i've noticed one member in particular deteriorate in his behaviour into the type of individual who threatens to undermine the credibility of the entire website.

Here you have the true story:
As the entire Governing Body approached the elevator two cherubs and the flaming blade of a sword that was turning itself continually appeared to guard the way to the top of the tower. And they heard the voice of Jehovah God walking in the building. And Jehovah God proceeded to make long heat resistant garments of skin for the GB members and for their wives and to clothe them. With that Jehovah God put them back in their wheelchairs and so he drove the Governing Body out into safety. -NWT -

"Get out of the bleachers and into the game"... Memorial 2012 demonstration.
by koolaid-man innow is a good time to start making preparations for the memorial night demonstration at your kingdom hall thursday, april 5, 2012, after sundown.. close to 20 million people will attend this annual global witness event including active witnesses, relatives and friends of witnesses, bible studies, return visits and still attached former witnesses.
the evils of the watchtower org.have to be exposed and this is an ideal time to do it.. many around the world have been adversely affected by their association with jehovah's witnesses and you can be an instrumental force by standing tall and courageously exposing the watchtower organization.. there is no better way to let the watchtower know your revulsion than to broadcast and present your view by standing fearlessly, demonstrating in front of a kingdom hall.. i am fully aware that a handful of the internet therapists who post on this forum will not agree with this method of unmasking the watchtower.. those intolerant, contemptuous critics who will comment on this thread making harsh judgements and finding fault with those who protest are perhaps deep-down wishing they had the backbone to stop hiding in cyber-space, step away from their computer and "get out of the bleachers and into the game" .
lets make this a global event!......

I don't know any who left the wt because of talking to protesters or reading banners.
I only remember protesters at conventions. As children, we were not allowed to look at them. I was scared of them. What added to my fear was that they were yelling and looked like crazy people.
The reason I left was because of being disturbed about things happening inside the congregation and the way they got handled by the elders.
Not going to the meetings was the best medicine. After a short while I lost my fear of the elders, there was no peer-pressure from the congregation and the realisation that I had no true friends at the hall. Eventually I came to my own conclusions without reading any apostate literature. -

by d0rkyd00d inthere are two videos recently that caught my attention on youtube that i'd like to discuss.
both are posted below.
my next post under this topic will deal with the specifics, but please watch first so as not to be tainted by my commentary.

Thank you for posting.
I am an atheist and agree with most of what AA has said, but I'm disgusted about his way of communicating. He come across as a very depressed young man with an alcohol problem. He fulfils the stereotype many Christians have about atheists, just like Rick F. does apostates.
I went through my militant atheist phase.
I never had a militant atheist phase. Luckily here in Germany people aren't as religious as they are in the US. That makes a big difference. -

Shunned by a pharisaic elder
by ldrnomo instopped in a local eatery this evening for their famous vegetarian enchilada casserole and there was a man in there, an elder in a local congregation who i was aquatinted with (he did some work for me at my home) and we know his wife.
he was in the same congregation i was in for a time.. i went over to him to say hi and shake his hand and when i reached out he pulled his hand away so i looked over at his partner who was obviously a bible study and reached out to shake his hand and as i did i said to him the reason he wont shake my hand is that hes mad because i dont go to meetings anymore.
i walked away and nothing else was said.. .
