Hi Outlaw,

I was already inactive when they made that change. When the 95 WT came out and was studied at the KH, I was told by my younger sister, that the atmosphere was very strange as never before and the conductor quickly covered the paragraph that blamed "Jehovah’s people" for being impatient, not adhering to scriptural counsel, speculating about when the great tribulation will break out. My sister never told me until some months later, because she thought I would be upset and never go back to the meetings.

Well actually, I would have loved to be there. That would be a WT study I would never miss. I would have put up my hand with a big smile, fully aware the conductor would never call on me. My sister did not know how far my independent thinking had already reached, since I did not talk to them about my conclusions.

Though disappointed about not being informed about the change, I was happy about the opportunity that the WT gave me to share my thought with my sister without fear the "Danger Apostate!" Wall would go up. That change did my sister.( to WTBTS!)

i had no idea there was such a strong support line for ex jehovah's witnesses.

i was raised from birth as a jw, son of the presiding overseer in my congregation.

i was groomed for "great works" according to the elders, and started giving my own talks at the age of 8. my father died when i was 9, and i think that if he hadn't i would still be a witness today.

it’s great you fund your way out. There are many who left the org for the same reason like you. Higher education is of immense value and presents a threat to the WT leadership. Enjoy your studies.

As mentioned, you will find other poster on this site, who have left because they are gay. And yes, there is so much they never told us!

In COC it is mentioned that the gb chairman's com. come up with 1984 to replace 1914. NKnorr was among those ready to replace Russells date. Knorr knew about the true power position within the wtbts before 1975/6 and fought against the wt claims presented for many decades to the r&f.

It is hard to say who the biggest is, the worst ones to me are Russell, Rutherford, Knorr and F Franz. And since then TJ "the boss".

About Ray Franz, I am very happy about his exposior of the inner workings of the gb and FDS, but also wonder about...

He did not stick up for Jonnson when he had the chance. He refuses to denounce the current leadership's policies on child abuse.

Did he really refuse to dennounce that issue? I wondered why he never wrote about this, since he had all the insider info.

Thanks for the update Dune as I was concerned about the outcome and pmed you. I just found your update today. You did the right thing. It is good the police was informed and the molester cant see the kids. You surly did the right thing and it is good you are giving your friend all the time she needs. It is also great that the mom fights for her children without elder-manipulation silencing her.

I doubt the father would have been d'fed if the police was not called.
