  Hello and welcome,

  I am saddened to hear about your situation. I'll tell you that there are many here who were once in a similar situation and they have many words to help you better understand the organization that you are a part of. As for me, I remember when I was reproved and many in the congregation approached me after the meeting and offered words of support and encouragement. I have to say that not all people are bad, just most are being misled and have been blinded to the truth.

  so many people here and so little knowledge of jehovah's witnesses.

  there are still people here associating jehovah's witnesses with the watchtower society when that is not the case.

  so many people look to the past not the future.

  It would appear that they are now targeting children. I guess that makes sense to them since most adults can discern their lies and twisty logic. Being a father of two young daughters, I was left with a weird feeling as it seemed a bit like a training video for child molesters.

  Heroes anyone?????

  Here is what I gather so far, keep in mind this is only my opinion.

  1. Sylar - is out to kill all of these 'Heroes' (mutants) as they pose a threat to his survival and his plans for building a super villain clan. He has been around the longest as is evident by his mastery of his abilities. He is attacking the newly found heroes before they get a chance to hone their abilities and challenge his plans.
  2. I think it is going to take all of these young heroes to work together in order to beat Sylar, but we will find out that Sylar is just a puppet. Claire and Peter have a good chance to fight him if they can hone their abilities quickly enough. Since Peter can assume the powers of those around him, he will have the same abilities as Sylar, but will he be fast enough ? It is going to take a little of Nikki's evil/tough alter ego to fight Sylar. And Hiro will definitely have to keep warping back in order to save the young heroes as they battle Sylar.
  3. Hiro - is having a hard time protecting the waitress, since it appears that Sylar may have more powers than has been revealed. That is why we say the picture of Hiro and the waitress on the wall celebrating her birthday. He keeps going back further and further.
  4. Mohinder - now that he has found out the secret of the little boy who can take him to any place and point in time, in the past so far, to learn the truth of the matter. The boy may be able to pinpoint where Sylar is or where he might be at or heading.

  I do agree with other's view that this is somewhat closely resembles X-Men.

  Awkward moment Tuesday night

  on tuesday night, i took an elbow to the nose while playing volleyball.

  a guy i play with is an er doctor and recommended i go to the er just to make sure everything was ok. turned out i had a "nasal fracture with contusion.

  " anyways, while talking with the admissions lady, one of the questions she asked me was, "any religion or church you want me to put you down as affiliated with?

  WT monitors sites?

  there was a post on the other day someone was asking about whether the wt monitors websites such as this and other "apostate" sites.. unfortunately i couldn't find it to add this to it.

  i remembered a jw who worked on installing computers at london bethel, some time ago telling me that the wt did monitor websites.

  this jw is gradually fading away from being one, so can't say to much about him.

  Well, it would seem that either the monitors knew about Joseph Cano's actions and could be held accountable, or he was able to find a way around it, or it does not really work that well. Most of this technology works well for high speed, (broadband), connections to the 'net' that are 'up' all of the time. But for the user who is still on dialup and going through a proxy like AOL®, EarthLink®, etc and traveling around the country, there really isn't much they can monitor, unless they have a way of converting all of those hisses and bleeps into something readable.

  And we haven't got into cell phone dial-up, cell phone high-speed connections, mobile connection cards and the 'hotspot' topic yet.

  Edmonton, alberta scandle with an Edmonton employee and Jw

  a friend of mine, mentioned there is an edmonton city employee who is an emergency medical technician who is also a jw who is facing 4 very serious assault charges including sexual assualt, and who is a member of the sherwood park maples congregation, and who is being protected by the elders of the maples congregation who even allegedly lied to the rcmp when questioned............ the po named terry h is the ringleader who lied to the rcmp and who is protecting the edmonton emt.....

  ???

  anyone else hear of this??

  There used to be a website I would use to get all of the scriptures and references for all of the meetings. It was a great time saver as everything I needed for each study was prepared. I thought it was nice of the brothers and sisters who were doing this and I felt bad when the WTBTS's legal department wrote them to stop.

  His comments We can understand why the legal department would need to object. They have to avoid dilution of copyright even if there is no violation. Although I believe that these small excerpts are allowed by the principle of fair use, there's a higher principle that we follow. Jehovah told the Israelites not to eat pork and other foods. The Israelites didn't know why they couldn't eat them, but those who obeyed were protected and blessed. I don't know why the legal department doesn't want us to do this copying and pasting and formatting for the benefit of others. At the same time I hope that by obeying, we'll be protected from something that I know nothing about. May Jehovah bless your efforts to grow closer to him!
