i would like to see a scan, please, if anyone has it, of the original published magazine.

so the bound copy came out at the end of the year or December of 1989? They changed their teaching at the end of the year? Was there a big uproar when this watchtower came out?

Thanks Narkissos and Paduan for responding, I've read much of your post and respect you guys a ton.
I've read this article several times now and I am confused by the logic behind it. What is it that I am missing?
Revelation 7:15 "... and serve him day and night in his Temple (naos)"
Hasn't the watchtower contradicted the scripture on their last paragraph stating that " the great crowd are not in the inner court yard of Jehovah's great spirtual temple.." , when two paragraphs before they states that (naos) "In the context of the Jerusalem temple, it usually refers to the Holy of Holies, the the temple building, or the temple precincts. It is sometimes rendered "sanctuary""?
Also is it fair (or should I say it is reasonable) to bring in Rev 11:19. "and the Temple (naos) of God wich is in heaven was opened" into the discussion?

Well I decided to try again an photo copied the Revelation "Climax" Book page which contained the explanation to this scripture. Of course he did not know the word was naos for temple. He then asked what is the word for sanctuary. Oh no its Naos. Of course my follow up question was "what does this have to do with the outer court? and the Great Crowd is Where?" I guess i have a bit of chip on my shoulder since he has used his "So what is your hope? Heaven?" on me and my coworker. I am confused about their current position and would like some information so I can be prepared for his watchtower mind and word tricks. Also this site is great, you apostates ROCK.

is anyone here associated with a non-denominational church of christ congregation?.
i read the fairly detailed write-up on wikipedia and found it somewhat, key being somewhat, similar to the jws except for the rules and regulations and the strong focus on end times.. it seems like an intriguing religious group.
Was member of ICOC for 10 years. One big difference would be that they were a family of churches controlled by a hierarchy of leaders. The culture was cultic and controlling similar to JW. No focus on end times. Focus was on making disciples. Believed they were the only ones saved
The mainline is totally different, they are autonomous. Each church operates on their own. You have various levels of control and teachings. Some might focus on end times, others don’t. Some are excepting of other churches, some believe they are the only ones saved. They do have a strong emphasis on bible study and are knowledgeable. Are more knowledgeable as a whole than ICOCers.
The ICOC had a huge shakeup in 2003 and the church basically feel to pieces. It operates more autonomous now, though many churches have maintained relationships and control.
