Very surprising that an article written in a US law journal would influence a Brazilian court - but it's good news nonetheless.

Brazilian court didn't use the Kerry essay. Here in Brazil, all courts authorized blood transfusion when hospitals came to court. A rule in Sao Paulo's Court since the 1990s leads to this conclusion.
the website "Rosazul Documentos" is mine. In December 2005 I and some other friends sent some emails to authorities to watch the Service Meeting regarding Blood Transfusions Question and parents, but no results.

i just got an email today telling me of an email circulation among the jws about an newspaper article in coquitlam, british columbia in canada.

currently, the jws are not exempt from paying city taxes.

it reports that the council is reviewing its policy on tax breaks to be given to certain groups.

i'm not criticizing anyone's decision to da themselves...just wondering what the advantages are.. if the whole da thing is something made up by the gb why make them happy by playing by their rules?

how are they hurt by your decision?

Wikipedia being abused by Jehovahs Witnesses

i had a look at the wikipedia entry for jehovahs witnesses yesterday and noticed that it wasn't as comprehensive as it once was.. most links to non-pro-jw sites have gone as is anything truly critical or exposing of their beliefs and practices.. last night i added a link to this site to the "other sources" section.

this morning it is gone.. i wonder whether this is some private zealot who has decided to do it or an organised campaign?.

the same problem is happen in Portuguese wikipedia. anyone put a single reference about Criminal Sues against JW in Sao Paulo, related with refusing blood transfusion and after few hours the reference was deleted.

When I meet someone DF'd I say: "Hi". If he/she wants, we can talk. My brother sometimes aids a poor DF'd in necessity. And when we do it, we fell VEEEEEERRRRRYYYY WELLLLL!!!!!

For example...
until now, I didn't find NO ONE JW's pedophilia case in the Brazilian Courts of Justice. And Brazil has got 600 thousands of JWs. I try, try, try..... looking for in the internet and nothing. many brazilian webpages "anti-JW" just talking about subliminal images, trinity and others jokes. Orkut... well, is justa a brazilian carnival and nothing of substancial information. While Associação Torre de Vigia (brazilian branch) smiles and fun about all this...
why i'm here? using my pooooooor english in a english JW forum???? here we find the right scans, the cool informations.

I don't have right numbers. Looking for cases in São Paulo Court of Justice, I found 2 kids in São Paulo. In both cases, the JW doctors and parents were issued.
Regarding others JWs who died for refusing, I have some notice that a doctor called Zelita (see Yearbook 1997, Brazil) and this doctor lives in Florianopolis, south of Brazil. Her speciality is hematology. Many JWs goes to Florianopolis, specially with leukemia. I don't have idea how many of them died.
Here in Brazil, the "dissidents" are worry more to discuss sex of angels than these important and vital questions.
