so my sister-in-law, who is a pretty hardcore jw, showed me an email that looked like it had been passed around quite a bit, so i figured someone on here had probably seen it.
supposedley it's a picture from the movie "i am legend" where will smith is walking through new york and all the buildings in the background are in ruins except for the bethel building, which stands out, undamaged and clean.
i watched the movie and don't remember seeing anything like that so i just figured that some jw photoshopped it and sent it out to the jw community to show that the bethel building is protected by god even in a post apocaliptical world run over with zombie vampires.
No, but would love to see it! I am suprised my wife hasn't sent it to me.

I love it when the sixscreensofthewatchtowerguy goes and protests at the KH and tapes it. Does anybody know if he is going to do it this year. Is silent lambs going to do anything?

even when i was a believing jw, i began to really dislike those fake assembly resolutions.
my biggest complaint was that we weren't given any time to think about them before we were called on to agree.
i thought they were pretty meaningless and stopped responding to them.
Because these things are so long it is a suprise to me when they say "your answer please." I forget that it is not a talk but a
resolution. I agree that they are meaningless. Whats even worse is when a witness nazi during a meeting makes a comment
about a recent or past resolution. It is true these things are meaningless, because during my life time they are only read and
everyone says yes so he will hopefully stop reading and we all go on however we were living before.

hello guys, todya i recieved an email from an old friend of mine within the jdubs... he did the usual jdub thing get married really young and as such we lost touch.. he since found me on facebook and has been bugging me about my decision to leave, i talked to him a little but his mind is completely closed and irrational so i was having little success saving him from the cult and as sich i decided to end the call.. by saying "your happy and i'm happy so lets leave it be and aggree to differ" - however he wont let it rest this is his email: any help in responding would be most appreciated!!
ps... how ironic that he should mention george orwell when he lives within a cult that epitomizes the 1984 book!!
seeing as you never botherered ringing me back or texting i thort id email you.. .
What the h*** is a "thort"!

a jw came into the shop the other day and left an awake.
i told him i am an apostate and i thought he was going to have a heart attack.
lol.. has anyone else had this experience?
Nice
iam now as what was announced at a recent meeting that iam "no longer a jehovah's witness" all of my family and friends are witnesses so this will ailenate me from all of my friends and family.
but i feel like i don't want to go back.
i really hate the feeling of isolation and shamefulness while iam sitting in the meeting, what's the point of it all.
LadyCCC,
When a person is left marooned or in a survival situation they say that it is important to keep your mind busy so that you don't give up hope. You must keep busy now that you have been desserted by all who say they love you. Do
that by researching the religion you hold so dear. I am fading because of what I have found by diggin' on the internet. There are some good websites that will keep you busy for a long time. Just because you committed some
"immoral act" which I believe sex is not, its just an act, you are not unloved by God now! Hang in there and prepare to feel free now that you are starting to leave.

i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.
Was at Patterson and Wallkill from '95 to 97'. I remember glass's little red 70's looking cart. One
just thought i would share my recent experience at the kingdumb hall with all of you.
while sitting there during the meeting i thought to myself "wow not many here today.
" (i haven't been to a meeting in about a year.
Yeah, that is probably right. Anyhow my wife is at the bookstudy right now. I begged off, although I am sure she was wondering if I would go. It is hard giving them hope like that but it sure makes it easier when we go over to folks
homes. One other thing I noticed was that a couple of witness nazi sisters would not even acknowledge me which was interesting. I have heard that a newer bro. in the hall is experiencing some "abuse" from a co-worker. He is
bringing in a lot of stuff from the net and trying to show it to him. They have gotten into some heated conversations. Maybe something will develope.

well maybe people are away on vacation. Anyways after the meeting was over and I was about to go out the door I heard one of the elders in the hall comment "man where did everybody come from today." Inferring that meeting
attendance was good. Another elder agreed with him "yeah nice to see." I didn't look at the numbers on the board but I bet there were only 60 people there and this was the morning meeting. Interesting isn't it with the total
numbers in the US being up 1%. Another interesting observation was that no one lovebombed me either.
