As was true of the Apostles, our flesh is also weak and there are still some things we do not yet know.
The logical conclusion to this statement is that in 100 years from now, the "some" things of the small percentage we do not yet know will expand to 100%. The future Governing Body members who are not not yet born today will look back and be able to accurately conclude that we knew nothing. The future "elect" will likely teach that we are no different than all the other churches of Christendom that groped in the darkness for thousands of years after Christ's ascension. It is ironic that we are in the same spiritual darkness that our religion relegated to all other religions during its more youthful and idealistic stage decades ago.
We are back to square one. Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200. For some, go directly to JAIL. All in all, we are each on our own, having come full circle. The present GB failed to mention in their comment about that the flesh is so weak that essentially we know nothing. Like those who have died before us over the many generations we are discovering that the "test" is not even pass or fail. We simply live, hopefully learn to love, we pass away, and that's all she wrote. Those with faith in God have the present comfort that we will return to life. The present GB is unable to accept this simple truth because it means the worldwide preaching work is meant to give comfort to generations into the future destined to die of old age, and introduce them to their Creator, not for the purpose of saving them. Christ already gave his life for the salvation of all who ever lived.
As a side comment, I see the social barbarism on this forum and practically all other Internet forums, and in the world in general, as evidence that we are far from the "time of the end" Jesus Christ prophesied. Even those with the richest and most illustrious standard of living in all of human history are ruled by their base instincts. Only a small percentage of the population has had the opportunity to consider the Bible's message and take sides in the epic battle between good and evil. It dawns on me that we're still living in the Dark Ages, and that Jehovah's Witnesses are still one facet of the world's religions groping through this social and spiritual darkness. We never left the Dark Ages. Technology artificially illuminates this mostly impoverished world filled with spiritually mindless "ape like" people who are no more enlightened than their ancestors hundreds of years ago. As ancient Egyptian society existed over 100 times the present 200+ year existence of American society, for example, it is not difficult to comprehend this world going another several millenniums before the glorious millennium of Jesus Christ spoken about in the Bible commences. The present GB of Jehovah's Witnesses should prepare for this eventuality and focus its efforts at introducing people to the Bible simply for the sake of helping them appreciate our Creator and his epoch plan that spans throughout eternity.
