  back in november of 2011, i received a phone call from my ex, bill bowen.

  he informed me that his dad had died of a massive heart attack.

  Skally,

  I think I understand your frustration, and as to why Bill does or doesn't do what you think he should, only he could could answer that.

  I just know he is working very hard on this cause and will continue to do so. He has been doing tons of work in the background and most of us will never know the heights and depths of it.

  He lost everything over this. His heart and soul is devoted to making Watchtower change their child abuse policy.

  People will have different ideas about where his energy should be directed.

  People will continue too be dissapointed because he won't do it their way and there is only so much one human being can do.

  Some hate him and some love him and yes, some don't trust him.

  I also understand what your saying about Ray Franz.

  People are entitled to their beliefs and feelings.

  Anyways Sheila, how does it feel to be free of him? OF ANY MAN? LOLOL, sorry, couldn't resist

  Very funnyI won't comment on that but I will just say that I still back him 100% on what he is trying to accomplish with Silentlambs. However, I do not always agree with his methods. He has made mistakes and he has ignored some good advice.

  I wish they would give you a go with the GB.

  I appreciate your dedication and hard work as well.

  i know you've answered this question before but which book do you recommend be read first --- combatting cult mind control (ccmc) or releasing the bonds (rtb)?

  I would say read Combating Cult Mind Control first.

  It identifies what a cult is and is very helpful to the person reading it.

  The second one Releasing the Bonds i really good too but it's geared more towards helping a friend or loved one to get their minds free of a cult.

  Others here may have different opinions.

  Randy,

  All I have is his word. He has never lied to me.

  Yesterday over the phone , I asked him if he worked on that case and he said "yes for two years". He rattled of a list of things he did on that case and told me the the names of the people he worked with. Too much detailed info for him to be lieing.

  I was sitting in the Post Office parking lot when I was speaking to him . I don't remember their names.

  I was only asking him out of courisoty.

  If I had of known I'd be asked a question like that , I would have taken notes.

  I just took him at his word.

  The Humbling of Anthony

  i didn’t really care for anthony very much.

  at the time of this story he was 13 or 14 years old, a clever and precocious kid down the hall.

  he was extremely zealous about the truth and took it, and himself, very seriously.

  Yes Jamie your correct. I was married to Bill and we left the cult at the same time.

  creepy that people who were so closely related to the discovery of the child molestation problem remained jws?

  Yes i is creepy. It is very frustrating because they know all about the corruption of Watchtower but choose to push those facts so far in the back of their minds that they forget. They go on proudly following those men. I have been round and round about all those things with them. It does no good.

  They put their own blindfolds on and purposely stay blind about their precious Organization.

  Bill was working on the Conto case for about two years.

  Others were involved helping on that case as well.

  I am so appreciative of all their hard work.

  The outcome was worth it.

  Bill sent out the press release immediately on Friday June 15th, the very next day after the case was won.

  He posted it on the Silentlambs website and on on his Facebook page.

  He updated his site and posted News stories about the case and new info on his FB page as it came out.

  This story was plastered all over the internet through various news sources and people like us spreading the news.

  I'm sure people tweeted about this story the same way Sparlock made it to Twitter.

  Not sure about You Tube though. I haven't looked there yet.

  He is still working very hard for this cause.

  He is traveling a lot due to working with lawyers on research and as an expert witness on other JW child abuse cases.

  He is spread very thin.

  He told me about a custody case they won yesterday.I don't know very many of the the details but a JW mom was fighting for custody of her 7 year old girl.

  Bill served as an expert witness on that case and the non JW Father won full custody.

  They were going to baptize that little 7 year old girl at their next assembly which was only a week away.

  Some of the rulings in that case were great.

  The judge ruled that the Mother could not try to influence the daughter with JW teachings or any other religious teachings.

  UK law changed to allow prosecution of those who stay silent over child abuse

  the domestic violence, crime and victims (amendment) act 2012 comes into force on monday in england and wales to allow prosecution for those who stay silent over a child's serious physical abuse.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18638734.

  whilst this law was put in place to stop a loophole whereby those who commit child murder claim it was someone else while they just remained silent, this now makes those who do not take steps to stop the abuse equally guilty.. elders who do not take steps to stop or report the serious abuse of minors could face prosecution and 10 years in prison.

  it may no longer be good enough to tell the abused or abusers it's their right to go to authorities (per the 2010 elders manual) they now need to take action.. whether criminal prosecutions are brought against elders who masquerade as police, judge, jury and social workers whilst not themselves reporting abuse of a minor will remain to be seen, however the law now exists to make it possible.. any jw child who comes to serious harm where the elders knew about it should ask themselves - could i have stopped this by telling the police?

  I was raised in . Babtized at 13,was in for over 30 years. I was out mentally for about a year before

  I quite going to meetings 12 years ago and have not looked back!
