  as of 11:45 this morning (i had a telphone call this morning with the refernce department person named holly at 212-963-7234), i can tell you that the watchtower has disassociated itself from the united nations dpi!!!!!!.

  the dpi is now taking them off the list.

  the dpi requested the list removal to be done this morning!!!!!.

  Hi,
  here is the release I am working on. It is in layman's terms so that "outsiders" might get a better grasp of it. It's sensationalized a bit as well.You gotta do that if you want to get their attention. Anyone here can use any part of it that they like. It's time to mobilize. Heck, you are online anyway, why not look up your local paper and send them the scoop? Just to get the ball rolling, mind you! Again, I will send these to my local papers but am hoping to use one of the contacts who were good enough to offer themselves up. Please email me with your name and phone number if you would be willing to field inquiries from the press.

  Hawk, have you sent me your contact information? I'm readying to put this out there before the media as much as possible to see if we get any bites. It's time to mobilize on the media front. It's the only way to save your incredible efforts to show the hypocrisy. Who else is contacting the press?

  Okay, re-writing the press release in my head now. People, now might be a good time to start circulating this information to the media. In two months the media won't care either way. Actually, there is no promise that they'll care now. But now would be a good time to try to get this out.

  Hi Mommy & Machislopp,
  Thank you for volunteering to be possible contacts. I did send a rough draft of the "press release" to Randy (Dogpatch). I'm not particularly adept at this type of writing so I'm torn over the approach my rough draft has taken. I would like to get this going sooner rather than later but want to be sure that it seems worthy of outsider interest without being so dramatic that they'd write off the issue as just some kooky cult antics that have no bearing on the outside world. I will email you both.
  Has anyone else considered attempting to contact the press? If so, I'd be interested in hearing their input.

  well the other thread has gotten long concerning the association of te wtbts and the un so i started this one here.

  i just got off the phone with a man in patterson concerning this issue and i will post most of convo here.. first of all if you do call beware they play kingdom melodies when you are on hold!.

  ok a man answers the phone giving me his first name.

  as i've mentioned on an earlier thread, i am not in a position to notify the press myself but would like to contribute some information for those of you who might be interested in contacting the press.

  I need your help. I am preparing a make-shift press release to send to my local papers. Again, if this is being handled by others, then I will refrain from doing it. Otherwise, we need to circulate the news before they have a chance to do damage control.

  I need:
  the phone number for the appropriate person to contact in Brooklyn Bethel.

  I need people who will be able to work as contacts for the press. I would like at least two people who are very familiar with the situation and would be willing to provide their email addresses and possibly name and phone numbers for the press (I'll take the email address to attach to the release so that we can get this out sonner rather than later).

  Hi,
  I am willing to draw up a make-shift press release to distribute to newspapers in my area. What I would need is people who are well-versed in this topic who would be willing to act as contacts should the press be interested.

  Are there people willing to be available to do this?

  I don't want to jump the gun if people already have this in the works, but if they do not I'd like to see this information be made available to the press.

  jon gave me his password a few weeks ago and asked me to post to the board if something happened to him.

  as some of you know jon had been undergoing cancer treatment since the end of july.
